Keypad Enter confusion/Keyboarding in general
It might be possible *if* the game (or Cider) is capable of converting characters to Unicode. Unicode is a common method of encoding characters so they look identical on all platforms. Without it, typing Option-G to get the copyright symbol on your Mac would show up as something entirely different and weird on Windows.
If you type your special characters in TextEdit and then paste into CoH, the clipboard is already converted to Unicode before you paste, so those characters do show up identically.

Id be happy if the game even let me enter Windows-style ALT+keypad codes. Im fairly certain that Sims3 and Spore both allow entry of accented characters and both use cider, so it *should* be possible

To the original question: should I try to submit this new behavior as a bug, or is it now normal behavior and I should give up my keybindings?
Im pretty sure this came about with a post-I16 patch, but I could be wrong. In any event, it seems that my keypad Enter key is now being treated as just another Return key. Its extremely annoying because I have Enter bound to the Yes or OK answer to dialogs and Shift-Enter to the No or Cancel function. Now either key just starts chat.

Also, while Im at it, is there any known interest/effort to expose the WHOLE Mac keyboard to the game? In Windows I could enter special characters like em dash, symbols, etc. using tedious keypad ALT+0xxx sequences. The Mac client wont let me do that and it wont let me use the key combinations Im used to as a Mac user (e.g., Shift-Option-dash for an em dash, Option-e E for é, etc.). With Mac OS X 10.6s great new auto-correction/substitution functionality Id really love to be able to use the full power of the keyboard to express myself, but I feel constantly hobbled by the limitations in the Mac client.
