Rikti kills not counting in Montague mission.

That mission is populated with Lost. Lost that are level 30 or higher are replaced with Rikti. Whether they should count towards Rikti kill counts, or grant Vanguard merits is a different question, but as far as the system is concerned, you are fighting Lost, not Rikti, because that's what the mission tells the server to spawn.

Thanks for the answer Roderick. It explains it on a technical level, but since Lost become...well no spoilers. Anyway I won't bug it. Minor issue anyway I will run to Creys Folly and "arrest" monkeys.

That arc seems to have been originally designed to be done around lvl 30-35 or so, which should spawn both groups in the mission at the same time. It's when you do the arc at a lower or higher range that you end up seeing only one group or the other, and then the story doesn't make as much sense.

I posted after doing only the first mission in the arc. The rest of the missions did give credit for Rikti kills. It appears that only the Rikti in the first mission don't count because they are considered Lost...in really kick azzz Rikti Halloween costumes. :P
