Some questions
1) Incinerate -> Cremate -> Greater Fire Sword, +237% recharge in GFS
2) Purple proc is a 33% chance of 107.1 damage, so averages 35.343 damage. Regular proc is a 20% chance of 71.8 damage, so averages 14.36 damage.
3) Haven't tried Melt Armor. Looks good on paper.
4) Physical Perfection is good if your build needs more regeneration or recovery. So, yeah, it's good.
5) Updated Mids' here.
6) I haven't fiddled with Electricity yet.
7) I haven't fiddled with Spines DPS, since that's not really what Spines is for.

1) Incinerate -> Greater Fire Sword -> Cremate
+237% recharge in Greater Fire Sword
+137% recharge in Incinerate
+84% recharge in Cremate
2) Touch of Death: 10.77 damage, Mako's Bite: 14.36 damage, and a purple damage proc: 35.343 damage.
3) It's awful, IMO. The recharge and endurance cost are too high for the -resistance provided.
4) Only if you need the additional Regen and Recovery. I'd preferably slot it with standard IO's or with procs, especially the Performance Shifter: Chance for +End proc.

6) I believe that Chain Induction > Charged Brawl > Jacobs Ladder > Charged Brawl is currently deals the highest ST DPS.
The requirements...
Chain Induction: 3.56 second recharge/293% recharge
Charged Brawl: It already recharges fast-enough - 0
Jacobs Ladder: 3.30 second recharge/142% recharge
7) I'm not sure, but I'll look into it. I currently have an unused lvl 50 Spines/Fire and it would be interesting to attempt AV soloing with him (on test).
EDIT: Werner beat me to it!
I relation to this question, which chain would be the highest DPS, and how high is it? I was thinking of taking Fireblast on my Elec/Shield and was wondering what might be the best ST damage possible with or without Fireblast.

AdjustedCastTime = (ROUNDUP( 1/ 0.132)+1) * 0.132
Chain Induction ACT=1.188
Charged Brawl: ACT=1.056
Jacobs Ladder ACT=1.848
((base recharge)/(required recharge)) - 1
CI needs to recharge in 4.092(1.188+1.848+1.056)
((14)/(4.092))-1=2.42
Which would need 242%
CB Needs to recharge in 1.188
((3)/(1.188))-1=1.52
Which would need 152%
Jacobs Ladder needs to rechrage in 3.3(1.056+1.188+1.056)
((8)/(3.3))-1=1.43
Which would need 143%
Edit: had the wrong cast time for CB

Ok...So I was looking more at the numbers and saw for Scrappers that Havoc Punch was the better DPS attack then Charged Brawl. When I was looking at the numbers early on Brutes Charged Brawl was the better DPS attack. anyone else getting this? Or my numbers just really bad today.
Nope, Charged Brawl deals higher DPS than Havoc Punch.
Quoting Umbral (assuming he doesn't mind ):
Charged Brawl: 52.55 damage (57.8 w/ 10% crit), 1.056 sec activation time, 49.7 DPA (54.7 w/ 10% crit) Havoc Punch: 82.58 damage (90.8 w/ 10% crit), 1.716 sec activation time, 48.1 DPA (52.9 w/ 10% crit) |

Seems that we're having bad numbers today... |

I'm curious if throwing in Fireblast can up the DPS significantly. I was spoiled by my DM/Regen's ST damage, and was fairly satisfied with my FM/SR's damage with Incin>GFS>Cremate, so I am hoping that between AOO and high recharge with the ability to take Fireblast I can make my Ele/Shield seem less lacking in the ST department.
Also, just wanted to say I appriciate you number crunchers.

What DPS does that come out to?

However...CI -> CB -> JL -> FB = MORE DPS!
JL is better DPS than CB.
That said, CI -> HP -> JL -> FB = couple points less in DPS, but alot less +RCH needed to obtain.

I came up with this build, which is quite expensive, but has a lot going for it. Features include all positions softcapped, Chance for Heal Self in CB, JL, and FBlast, Chance for +Recharge in T-Strike, which, if it fires, gives you LR and SC in 19.9 seconds, and 162.5 global recharge(not including +recharge proc) for the best ST chain.
The regen is low at only 206% and the HP is at 1917, as I couldn't find any spare slots for True Grit or the Regen Tissue unique. Resists are low as I didn't take Tough, but with soft-capped defenses and the multiple heal procs I'm hoping this won't matter so much.
Let me know what you think, and if anyone wants to see what kind of DPS we're looking at with this build, I'd appriciate it.

To Gaiden, my first thought on the build...you don't even need Hasten.
With Hasten turned off, you can go CB-JL-CB-CI-Repeat.
So I would lose that power, just for the fact that it'll eat more END for no benefit (unless you just want to use it, if you get slowed). I personally would rather put in OWTS into the build for the added "OH NO" moments.
Now CB-JL-CB-CI isn't the best ST attack chain for this build with a 143 DPS with 1 target in range of AAO.
Fire Blast - JL - Fire Blast - CI - <0.142 second pause> - Repeat = 160 DPS with 1 target in range (with the use of Hasten).
CB - JL - CI - FB = 156 DPS with 1 target in range and doesnt need hasten).
CB - CI - CB - FB = 160 DPS with 1 target in range but requires the use of Hasten (to avoid a 0.096 pause between CB and CI past the first run through the chain.
You get a 157 DPS with that last attack chain, if you accept the .096 pause in the attack chain.
Personally, I suggest the CB - JL - CI - FB -> Repeat.
It allows you to ditch the use of Hasten.

In relation to that, does having the three heal procs give me better HP/sec than if I took those three slots out of the attacks and put them in either Health and/or True Grit?
Thanks for the info Brand X, I appriciate it!

I like the added recharge for the AOEs even if I don't need it for the ST chain. I'll have to see how it plays both with and without Hasten and may end up doing as you suggest and dumping it.
This is the one I'll go with, regardless of the Hasten decision. It allows for all three attacks with the Heal procs to fire and up survivability that much more. However, I'd think keeping the heal procs would be a good thing, as you lack a self heal, this way you have a chance to burst heal just a little with almost every attack.
However, I consider True Grit under slotted.
Quick rearrange of powers, my thought...ditch Hasten, pick up OWTS.
Keep OWTS 1 slotted.
Put Hasten's 2 slots into True Grit for additional HP. More HP means those procs heal you for more as well as getting a bit more regen from having more hit points.

Hey all, I'm back! Life is back on track and for Aion.... is too similar to WoW :P

Not been here since i13/i14, played today (as its reactivation weekend) and got hooked straight back on this :P! Back to the numbers, I need to respec me Claws/Regen. With Elec finally here, just gonna roll a FM/Elec and Elec/SD for AV soloing and FUN!
(one) What's the Fire/ attack chain deals the best ST DPS? What's the rechg needed for it?
(two) How much more dmg does the purple procs give
rather than the ToD and Mako proc? Planning to roll a Fire/Elec
Scrapper and haven't much inf at the moment.
(three) Melt Armour any good?
(four) PP any good?
(five) Is there an updated Mid's?
(six) Is Chain Ind/Jacob/Charged the best DPS for Elec/ Scrappers? If so then what's the recharge needed?
(seven) Being curious, I think ripper/darkblast/throwspines/darkblast is the best dps attack chain for spines/ and thats judging by bill's dps thread. Would fireball replacing darkblast now deal more dps?
Thanks to anyone who awnsers.
If there is anything else I should need to know let me know.
