How do I get the most out of my City of Villains story arcs?
Each zone on redside, starting with Port Oakes, needs to start off with at least one bank mission to be introduced to a first contact on that island. More if you want to get EVERY contact.

I know that much. But thanks

This lists contacts in CoV, updated through 2006. I really like its layout and wish it would get updated to include the newer contacts. There have only been a few contacts added to redside since then, a full (updated through TODAY ) list of contacts can be found at

**** the above two links include both CoH and CoV, so you'll have to pick through them as appropriate.

You may also want to pay close attention to the "Unlockable Contacts" page on the wiki -- unlike CoH, there are a plethora of contacts, ranging in levels, that have to be unlocked before you can experience their content. Some of the better red-side story arcs can be accessed from these contacts, in my opinion.
Wish I'd known about this list before outleveling the earliest one (although thankfully I discovered it before going any farther!).

Judicious use of the noXP option will allow you to see all the content except for the secondary starter contacts (never tried these in Oroborous so I don't know if they're there). I was able to do this with my MM, and it was amazing. There are definitely some arcs out there that you will never forget.
BEES!
I've done something similar to this with a SS/WP brute of mine, I was having such a fun time with her at level 30, that I shut down my exp gain and ran as many arcs as I could get my hands on. I spent close to 2 months of casual play time just collecting everything I could get my hands on with out leveling.
I have gone to find myself. If I get back before I return, Keep me here!
One thing I have done more than a few times now, is when a character hits 25 is to start using the flashback feature to get some of the early arcs done.
Just a couple of weeks ago was the first time I faced 3 K Kelvin, that was on a late 20s character via flashback
The downside (well maybe) is that since I16 you get XP on these which makes it even harder to fit every contact in, unless you turn off XP.

I use the wiki and decide which contacts I want to hit on my way up. It is working out very well for my level 32 mm. The hard part is getting the contacts you want from your brokers and some of the unlockables are hard to obtain at the levels you need them (for example, ghosts are very difficult at 10th or 11th level).
I figure my newly minted level 10 dominator will hit a different chain of contacts from my mercenary. I'm pretty sure that's how the game was designed. There is just too much content for any one character to see.
One thing to note on the villain side is that the starter contacts in Sharkhead and above introduce you to a particular chain of contacts. Look over an entire chain before deciding which you want to follow for that character's story.
I've really enjoyed most of the content on the villain side. Some is a little too dark for me but most of it is cool and a lot of it is very clever and funny.
And with AE, if you decide to kill the contact that jerked you around (I'm looking at you Darrin Wade), you can.
When I started playing the game was a very different place. I was new to the genre and didn't really know what I was doing. Now I'm older and have a better grasp on things. I'm really interested to see it all.
I've got a theme I've been wanting to try out. I made a bots/traps MM and with him I want to see the story line of the game. Basically, he's a tech origin who recently became a villain and is working his way into Arachnos' favor in hopes of becoming a Destined One. As I progress through the game, I want to hit up many contacts and do a ton of story arcs. I really want to soak the most out of this character villain side, as I can.
For the first time ever, I'm going to read every bit of the flavor text and descriptions I can. But I need to know: If I'm going through each zone will each contact send me to a new contact? Will choosing any contact get me to the special arcs like the ones in Striga and Croatoa on the hero side? Is there a general guide for this sort of thing? I'm new to this.
