It's also useful to bind the power to light the oil slick to the same key. This gives:
/bind [Key Here] "targetcustomnext Oil Slick$$powexecname [Power Name]"
This is particularly useful for Technology and Magic Origin characters since you can use your Origin Power here, allowing you to light your Slick without worry over whether a power has recharged or not.

I mean, I'm not doubting you but I never would have guessed that.
Any power that deals either energy or fire damage will light the oil slick. The most amusing one I've seen was on a team with two TA defenders using one Oil Slick to light the second .

Yep. Taser Dart will light up OSA.

As Adeon points out, any Energy or Fire damage will light the Slick.
An amusing case is Sonic Blast. Tada! You light the oil by shouting at it.

Copy/Paste of a reply I left in an older thread about this
Oil Slick can be lit by either fire or energy damage
Throwing Knives - Lethal - Does not light
Tranq Dart - Lethal/Toxic - Does not light
Mutagen - Toxic - Does not light
Apprentice Charm - Energy - Does light
Taser Dart - Energy - Does light
My Level 40 TA/A uses Taser Dart all the time to light it (It's alot faster than Blazing Arrow)
Note: There is an elusive bug that causes Oil Slick to fail to ignite even with fire/energy damage.
I noticed the bug last night when I would shoot it with my blazing arrow and it wouldn't ignite. I thought maybe it only had a chance to light.
I suppose it technically does only have a chance to light but not for the right reasons.
I've never used keybinds before but I just got Oil Slick on my TA/A and realized how useful it'd be to target my oil slicks with a keypress rather than frantic Tab mashing or mouse clicking. Can anyone let me know how I'd go about this? Thanks.
