I wouldn't try it myself. IMO you need all the armor toggles in DA, the mitigation toggles are optional and a matter of taste. If you are worried about DA's heavy end use that mainly comes form Death Shroud and Cloak of Fear.

No, you should take BOTH Murky Cloud and Tough for DA if you wish to up your survivability.
