I've responded via PMs and ingame, when asked.

Not a problem at all.

There's no way anyone could say this is a replacement for Jello Shooters. Nor is it competing with JS.

JS has been around for ages, and has been a mainstay of Protector. There's no competition.

This can be seen as an alternative, perhaps, for those who were looking for exactly that.

Yeaps...I will be staying in JS as well so it's nothing about that for sure.

Alternatives are good. The JS channel's adult content is not everyone's cup of tea. Having choices makes everyone's gaming experience better.

I've been thinking about an alternative to JS also. If Stale's new channel is PG ..and JS is R ..I'm totally going NC-17!

AnniesInsanity will be just everyone _______ while ______ing the ______ and putting ______ in _________ with _________ !

Ok probably not. I'll stick with JS but will poke my head into to see Stale from time to time. Choices are always good. there were a couple specific incidents that led to really enforcing the Mean Girls is 18 and up SG. But I know there are good players that don't fit the criteria so I point them to some of out great coalies. Now I have another resource to point these players to!

Thanks for the encouragement, fellow Protectorites.

There has been a steady influx of new names in the PV channel since the announcement. Not a flood, more like a trickle, but I expect more will find their way in as time goes by and people find it.

As Kult said, there is nothing stopping anyone from staying in JS while also popping in PV. In fact, I encourage it for those 18+ who don't want to miss anything and could perhaps even act as a bridge between the channels whenever event info is not readily shared on both channels.

Feel free to pass the info on to your friends, folks, if you want to share the channel with them.

Thought this was funny - got some negative rep again for the Protector Vigilance channel with the mention "channel will fail".

Whoever you are: the channel has grown to at least double the number of people it had when we relaunched.

And we haven't even started promoting it ingame yet!

Again: we are NOT competing with anyone, simply providing an alternate method of communications. We are NOT saying anyone else's channels are "bad". We will NOT stoop down to inventing drama where none exists. We encourage players to feel free to use whatever channels works for them.

Meanwhile, thanks for validating our efforts, and our vision of a family-friendly global channel on Protector.

You are challenging my channel monitoring ability and taxing my screen real estate With PV, I am now trying to follow 5 globals plus team chat.

Yeah, I got 3 SG-specific global channels (perhaps a 4th coming in) and another 3-4 global channels I try to keep track of.

What I did was create more tabs (one for all SGs, another 2 for the remaining channels) and moved them all into the same chat window, but with top and bottom panes visible at all times. I can follow at least 5 channels this way depending on which tabs I have showing.

What I find hard is remembering the chat binds specific for each channel. It may be easier simply to make a common "MT" bind.

lol... i cant even see the damn game anymore in between all my power trays/chat windows/accolade powers/attribute monitors/map/nav bar/target bar... etc.

I think my actual window for playing the game is about the size of a postage stamp.

Be careful what you wish for: the devs gave us so much QoL goodies that I cant even see the game I play anymore through all the add ons!

S'okay, everyone knows City of Heroes is a chat program with a game attached to it...

Increase resolution to max, lower font size in game windows, reduce GUI window size too.

Yeah, I know what you mean.

I have it set to 1680x1050 on a 22" LCD and still I could use a triple display setup

LOL!

I've felt like that some evening - never getting around to what I wanted to do with my characters.

Heh I just noticed I got negative and the mention was "not funny" which IS funny, since I wasn't trying to be funny in the first place LOL

Antilulz?

Do what I did - turn off rep.

It's almost as flawed and easy to abuse as the starring system for Mission Architect. See the Triumph Reputation War for a case in point.

"Say no to rep!"

You know, in retrospect, perhaps I shouldn't have mentioned the negative rep I received. I apologize for that.

If these people preferred to act anonymously, so be it. I shouldn't have brought attention to it. If there are critiques about PV which could help understand why the negative rep was given, please feel free to post here or PM me.

I will not repeat any more negative comments since they are worthless in regards to bettering our gamer community.

Meanwhile, we'll keep doing our best to promote / improve Protector Vigilance.

Have a great day Protector.
