Question about Re-Publishing

I've tinkered with my Arcs more than once after publication. When I re-publish, does it go back and overwrite the file I have on my computer, or does it just overwrite what's been published to CoH/CoV server? Just curious, as I'm thinking of submitting an arc for the Architect Awards, and I just wanna make sure the revamped/fixed arcs are in my files.

Republishing from Local just puts it onto the MA server with a new Arc # but the same name; it doesn't over-write or touch in any way the previous release.

It will however change the custom characters files, so you can open your previously released arc, and just click "Republish" and it will import those changes for you. However if you changed anything in the "storyarc" file (mission settings, dialogue etc) you'll need to manually copy those changes into the published version to keep the associated Ratings and Play statistics I'm afraid.

Make sure to wait about 5 minutes after any saving of a Republished arc before editing it again, to ensure your changes actually stick and you aren't working on what the server sees as an older version; when you see the System Message "xxxx Is Republished" you can play the arc as it now is, but it's not always saved as such curiously.

I was just reworking some costumes in one of may arcs yesterday and then started in on sending the email to enter it into the Architect Awards. To do so, you have to attach the files for the arc to an email, so I opened up my COH in program files and started looking for the mission files and... I had nothing because I didn't have a current copy of the arc, even after tinkering with it and republishing.

Very easy to solve: open it up, hit the "save locally" button (or whatever it's labeled), and there you go.
