Channel Bind

Ok, For the life of me I've tried to make it work... but to no avail like I've seen others have.

I have /bind <key> "beginchat /send "channel here" ($level, $name, $archetype)"

The problem I have is it comes out when I type it starts at the /. Not at the end of the quote, but the begining. What gives??

Halp!!!

/bind <key> beginchat /send "channel name uses quotes only if there's a space in it" ($level, $name, $archetype)

Personally mine uses the [$name] format, and I like to add a colon and an extra space at the end when I'm binding so that when I talk in the channel it comes out as

SunGryphon: [$name]: my message

instead of

SunGryphon: [$name]my message

it keeps coming up with unknown command /send

sigh

Make sure you're typing it correctly. I seriously JUST used this 5 minutes before I posted and it worked.

/bind [ beginchat /send channelname (or "channel name") [$detailhere]:

pay close attention to where you're putting your quotes.

Pretty sure you need a space between "beginchat" and "/send"

Also, you can try swapping in "startchat" I think, sometimes it works different.

Usage:startchat takes 0 args, you gave 1.
Starts chat-entry mode.

Startchat just activates the chat entry line, it doesn't take parameters. BeginChat is the proper command for this situation.
