You should be able to just quit your team, does that not work? When you're on a TF alone it places you on a virtual team you can quit from the team tab.
One extra way is the to enter the line command:
/leaveteam
You should get a confirmation popup, and then you are golden.

I helped a new player with this over the weekend.
Open team window. Click [Quit Task Force].
The pop up window that follows says "Are you sure you want to quit your task force? You will not be able to rejoin." Y / N
The last bit confused the person I was helping as they thought they wouldn't be able to do the Task Force ever again. The message refers to the Task Force Team. You will be able to start the Task Force again, but if there was a team doing the Task Force you would not be able to re-join it.

As the title says... is it possible? I have no idea if you can skip out from a TF from Ouroboros. My main toon has been locked on one for a week and it doesn't seem like I'm getting any help.
