Never ran a SD brute before and after reading the boards I have put together the following build for FM/SD brute. He's only got SO's right now but when I hit 50, I will be adding the IO's. AM I missing anything or will this build be decent for farming and teaming?

I just glanced at it. You're well under the cap on both AOE and Ranged defense (33% to each)

Against all Odds is over slotted. I'd move 2 of those into Superspeed and put a blessing of the zephyr set there.

Move the other slot to Active defenses to double slot for another membrane

2 slots from tough to stamina and 6 slot for performance shifter

I'd go more like this (and yes it does drop GFS)

This is just a quick play around and not sure of your play style and how this will fit with it. If it was me, I'd go with gloom and some other options.

This is my SS/SD build. I think it will give you some really good ways to slot your /SD powers. I worked on it for a long time and its very strong. The purples in it are really easy to replace with other IO's that give just a little less recharge. But, I think it will best help you in the way of rec. and regen. Even though I'm SS/ I rarely have endo. problems so with fire it should be even better for you. Hope this helps.

Edit:Thinking about it more. I might catch some flack for this but, yo might wanna consider Aid Self instead of CJ. Fire has no real mitigation. When you get to the higher lvl's that will become more of an issue. I have it on my SM/SD and have no problems getting it to go off mid spawn. Also, to make up in def from not having CJ just use any sized purple insp. and that will be more then enough to softcap you....Hope it helps!

Got a question. I was runnin an ITF the other day and was talking to our brute. They had recommended taking Grant Cover for the res to Def debuff. Would it be worth dropping Phalanx Fighting for grant cover. When I do farm, it is mostly solo. I run mishes and SF a lot as well.

I'd drop something else for Grant Cover - Darkest Night for example.

There is a way to cap def debuff res on a /SD brute; you need to have all the powers giving you def debuff res, and 3-slot Active Defense with Membrane Exposure hami-Os. The trick is that they enhance the DDR value of AD, and if you get it to doublestack you'll have DDR capped.
