New Nin/Nin and a few leveling questions
Like most things, opinions and mileage vary.
For instance, my L38 NB/Nin doesn't have Stamina at all, and doesn't plan
to get it.
95% of the time, it's a non-issue. Since your primary attribute is stealth,
you have full control over the timing of your attacks, and in general, I
find that you fight in time clumps or bursts rather than extended (and
END draining) battles.
That other 5% of the time, I run into a tough fight against a red-con boss,
or perhaps an EB, and END can start to be problematic. So far though,
it hasn't been anything a blue chiclet couldn't solve.
Finally, I have frankenslotted all of my attacks, so there's probably about
an SO's worth of END reduction in them, and that helps also.
From my perspective, Stamina in that toon would be a "nice-to-have" but
there are just too many other powers I'd rather have, and there are ways
to deal with any rare END issues I've encountered so far...

The reason those builds take Stamina at 30 is that it can be hard to get Stamina at 20 without pushing off other useful powers.
Placate is useful because it gives you breathing room plus sets up another crit or AS.
Build Up is useful because it gives burst damage to take out a threat quickly.
AS is useful because it helps you rapidly take down the largest threat so you can scrap the other mobs in greater safety.
You want *some* attacks. So that's at least two powers, probably three.
Your mez protection is a very bad idea to put off.
You probably want to get at least one of your defensive toggles.
That doesn't leave a lot of room for the Fitness pool in those early levels, if you take all those powers. Most likely you'd have to choose between your travel pool and Fitness.
Everyone has different priorities, but that is why those builds took Stamina at 30.
Hi all,
First off, I've read a few of the guides by Captain and Angry_Citizen so I get the gist of Nin. I've also leveled a few kat/sr scappers...I'm mostly playing solo, pve content.
But, most of the builds I see forego stamina quite late (30 or so). This seems quite late? Any advice or suggestions?
Secondly, I also see a difference in when to take placate. Some (Captain_Yar_Har) take it early. But, I've seen some builds take it in the 30s.
I would think getting an early attack chain is the most important thing for leveling into the 20s and that foregoing placate seems plausible. But, I'm pretty certain I would have Endurance troubles if I waited till the 30s to take Stamina.
Thanks for any help you can provide.
