((Meeting is planned for 7pm UK time on sunday. This is a recruiting drive aimed at grabbing young, relatively inexperienced villains. Though the core group is aimed at mutants, they welcome the help of all origins, except naturals. They also despise non-humans. People not interested in joining can still turn up to heckle

In the newspapers of Paragon City:
Hero Statue Destroyed!
Late thursday evening, one of the statues of the city's heroes was destroyed by a group of mutant activists. The bombing coincided with a riot that swept through the streets near Galaxy City, preventing the PPD and heroes in the area from discovering the bomb in time. Although nobody was hurt in the explosion, the number of visitors to the other statues in the area has declined sharply, as people stay away for fear of further blasts.
According to PPD sources, the bombing was carried out by a group of mutant activists who believe that mutants are persecuted by the government and that heroes are a symbol of the government's tyranny. The activists used a peaceful rally organised by the Helix Society as cover to move their people into place, and then whipped the crowd up into an angry mob, providing cover for their operation. All available PPD forces in the area were forced to respond to the resulting riots, along with some longbow officers and a number of heroes.
There has been some criticism of the PPD for its decision to employ its heavy robots against the rioters, and a spokesman has stated that the PPD would have been unable to contain the riot without the robots, but an internal investigation into the decision would take place.
The Helix Society, who's Party in the Park on wednesday was also marred by the presence of mutant activists, have publically condemned both the riots and the bombing, declaring that their sole aim is to help mutants who are struggling to come to terms with their abilities, or who find themselves with nobody to turn to because they are misunderstood.

A printed flyer distributed across Paragon City:
The Truth
The world is changing. Evolution made mankind the most powerful predator on this world, but evolution is a beast that never sleeps. A new species is evolving, a new world order is rising. Weak men cling to their fragile rule over this world, oppressing those few who are born as greater men!
They call you mutants, we call you the future!
The world is your inheritence, and all that stands in your way is the corrupt government, and the 'heroes' who uphold its oppressive laws. The time for action is upon us! Act now, and you can change the world! Tear down the idols of tyranny, bring low the heroes of Paragon City!
The world is changing, and we shall be the heralds of a new dawn!
The infirmary was alwas busy, especially given the new influx of Rikti reinforcements. Doctor Vixen, also known as Agent Vixen, or Kitsune Vixen in full, moved from bunk to bunk, checking on the current casualties. Vanguard medical kit was good, damned good, but it always helped having an empath on duty.
She looked up by chance, to spot a Colonel leaning against the door, helmet under his arm. She flashed him a smile.
"Everything alright, Jerry?" she asked, setting her clipboard on the side and returning her pen to her white over-coat.
Colonel Jeremy Lyndon smiled wryly, walking over with a quick headcount-glance around the medbay.
"Didn't want to intrude on you, Doc," he muttered. "I just though you might want to see this. Not really Vanguard business, but..."
He trailed off, handing over a leaflet. Vix frowned, pushing her glasses back up her nose as she glanced over it. The Colonel watched as the medical officers face darkened.
"Sorry to drop that on you, but you've always-"
"No, thanks Colonel," Vix interupted, folding the leaflet and attaching it to her clipboard with a scribbled note. "I tend to drop of the radar a bit when it comes to City affairs..."
Lyndon nodded, saluting and heading back out. Despite technically out-ranking her, as did a number of others, most of the Vanguard corps respected and liked their main medic. If it hadn't been for her, a number of them wouldn't be around.
"This is bad..." Vix mumbled to herself, staring into nothing. "I can feel it..."
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Reported briefly in the Rogue Isles, but not making the headlines:
Council Battling Street Gang
A street gang calling themselves the Fifth Finger found themselves under threat this week as the Council struck out against them in a number of operations. While the motives behind the Council's attacks are unclear, they have left the gang all but destroyed, with all of their former bases now either burnt to the ground or occupied by Council troops.
Though not a major player in the politics of the Rogue Isles, the Fifth Finger were outspoken supporters of the mutant supremacist Indefatigable, who was planning to meet with gang leaders, as well as other mutants, at the Mercy clocktower on Wednesday. Indefatigable has stated that he will not bow to Council intimidation, and he will continue to rally mutants to his cause.
This is not the first time the Council have clashed with supporters of Indefatigable, leading to rumours that there is some hidden history between the two.
----
Short notice this time i'm afraid, but there is another IC meeting of the mutant supremacists at the Mercy Clocktower, 8pm UK time on Wednesday 7th. All welcome There is an IC mission planned to follow on from the meeting.
There was a muted sound from down the alley. It wasn't really a breath, it was more like the cesation of breath coupled with a gasp, and the sound of something painful happening all at once.
A body slumped out, a lighter blur in the early morning Mercy mist. Someone stepped over the corpse of the Longbow Sergeant, a long, thin, blade like object vanishing.
His name was Zech. That was what people called him. At least, what they called him to his face, if they wanted to live.
It had been a long time coming. Nearly twelve years, in fact. But now he was out of the gutter, and making a mark.
Zech wasn't particularly tall or solidly built, but he had a wiry, whiplash strength about him. He nearly always wore a tattererd jacket and long trousers, face obscured by a bandana, bandit-mask and mirrored aviators. Both arms were heavily tatooed, and he had heavily wrapped wrists and hands, martial art style.
"Nice, tough guy," somebody sneered, shapes looming in the mist.
Zech didn't move, but his eyes shifted behind his glasses, watching as the trio of Arachnos soldiers encircled him. Wolf Spiders. Grunts, either ending or just coming on patrol shift. Unlucky.
"So, you can beat up on the candy-cane wussbows. Aww, ain't you the big tough villain, huh?" the apparent leader leered, as his squadies chuckled along.
"No."
"Oh? You giving me lip, ya little punk?"
"Giving you this."
Zech erupted, spines exploding in a cloud of flying, razor edge and rock solid cartilege. The first two soldiers were skewered instantly, but the leader was slightly faster and not just verbally. He had had the sense to dive back, and now brought up his machine pistol.
The shot echoed through the mist, a gaggle of snakes a few streets away peering around blearily.
Zech looked up, the mask creasing slightly as he grinned, the blood oozing slugishly from the hole in his shoulder.
"Aww...whats the matter, soldier boy? Your pea-shooter not working, now?"
The soldier paled, his scream lost in the mist as Zech advanced, the long spine sliding from his wrist to rest against the back of his hand with a lazy, silken sound.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

In the newspapers of Paragon today:
Supervillain Walks Free!
The outspoken mutant supremacist known only as Indefatigable walked free from prison today, after serving twelve months for his part in pro-mutant riots in Paragon city last year. Born with a mutation that renders him almost invulnerable to harm, Indefatigable is well known to both state and federal authorities, as he is an outspoken 'might makes right' supporter, as well as a believer in mutant supremacy, the idea that ordinary people are somehow inferior to those granted powers through mutation.
Prior to his arrest, Indefatigable travelled widely across the United States, and pro-mutant riots followed in his wake. The incident in Paragon City, however, was the first time anything was definitely proved to be due to his influence.
The release of another villain onto the streets has caused some murmers of discontent, however an official spokesman has responded, saying that Indefatigable has served his sentence, and there are no grounds for further punishment.
It is believed that Indefatigable will depart the city almost at once, and travel to the Rogue Isles.
