Is Electric Armor any good?
I've been tempted to make a Broadsword/Elec stalker myself but I have too many alts on my plate. I believe that set would be really good over all. It has a decent heal, good resists and utility in being immune to endurance drain/-recovery and endurance management tools. Compared to the other resist set, Dark Armor, it outta play quite differently and more offensively.
But then I'd be wondering what my character is suppose to do with that spare hand and just go Katana instead....either way it's a solid enough combo, IMO.
Spines is a little more iffy. You're AoE but you don't have mitigation to quell those enemies. Relying on just your resists will get you killed. I'd say if you're going spines, choose something that is either solid mitigation (like /Nin, /WP, /SR or even /EA) or has something to mitigate multiple foes (/Dark Armor).
The changes to Elec Armor did nothing more than move it from worst secondary to second-worst secondary (Dark Armor now holds that crown, not because it's a bad set in and of itself, but because some powers it has - Oppressive Gloom and Cloak of Fear - are counter to the Stalker playstyle and inherent). Elec works on a Brute because of the 90% resist cap and high base HP, but as a primarily resist-based secondary on an AT with a low HP cap that also relies on not being hit to get back into a hidden status, it just doesn't work well.
Sure, you can probably make a BS/Elec work, by virtue of Parry's melee/lethal defense, but it's not going to be the most optimal Stalker combination. Leo's right when he says mixing Spines with Elec is probably not the best idea.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
I'm loving my Broadsword/Electric Armor. It is *very* tough. I've always been a fan of layering defenses/resists. I'm 22 now and the lack of stamina is *really* starting to hurt though. Particularly since I got Lightning Reflexes. Attack faster, more endurance used.
Should I get stamina or will Energize and Powersink be enough to keep me going?
I have room to start taking some other powers now, I've yet to take any pool powers and I don't feel I need a travel power at all. (Sprint + Lightning reflexes is faster than fly so good enough for me).
What would be the most useful pool to invest in? Fitness or maybe Fighting for Tough? Or Leadership for Assault? Those 3 pools seem like the only reasonable choices to me. Oh and I don't pvp much at all so that shouldn't be a factor.
Lastly, where should I start sticking Achille's heal proc? Slice or Hack? Or as many powers as i can afford too?
Energize and Power Sink should get you along just fine, but it's a long road to Power Sink at 35 (slotted at 36 and 37).

Ya. I'd say your right. I'll pick up Stamina now and then see if I feel I can drop it after getting Powersink.

Come onnnn, you should know by now that Stamina is basically a crutch and you pretty much need it for whatever character you're using!
Cuz, you know, being exhausted after fighting some mooks is incredibly super!
I know lot's of heroes that are really really tired after beating up some street thugs and can't use any of their powers afterwords for like 5 minutes! What, you don't agree? Look em up!
Hey, I'm pretty new to Stalkers and want to make a Spines/Electric Armor or maybe an Broadsword/Electric Armor.
Trouble is, there is very little information regarding Electric Armor. It seems most stalkers prefer DEF sets particularly NIN. But is the difference really that big between the two?
Lightning Reflexes seems pretty awesome and with Energize and Powersink, it looks like I could even skip stamina.
My thoughts on primaries to go with Elec.
I really like Spines, very awesome. Yay toxic. Lots of AOE goodness and it finally looks good.
Broadsword. Lethal damage, meh. Not to bad with careful slotting of Achille's heal. Liberal use of parry would provide *very* nice DEF to go with the nice Resists of elec. Slice is a nice arc.
So experienced stalker community, what do you think?
*I made one of each as well as a coresponding /NIN counterpart, but haven't got any of them up high enough to figure out what works best. Spines looks the coolest though, and they are all still pretty splatty.
