Swiss Draw and Pentand Badges

We're still at it.

We probably would have been done a long time ago, but I'm not sure we've figured out how it picks who advances and who doesn't.

I throw a match, I advance.
I lose a match, I advance.

Nearly seven hours later and we're finally finished. Well, those that stuck around that long.

Swiss Draw absolutely makes no sense. Several times, those that lost two matches ended up in the final while those that won were finished after one match. We finally made a little bit of sense out of it but it's still highly borked.

It IS indeed busted. I lost every single match & got to the finals twice. After I got the badge, I went up against DB & he let me beat him, yet he advanced. The devs really need to revisit this & take more time to fix it properly. Thanks to Arwen tho for doing this, even tho I wan't around as long as the others.

I also wanna thank Bridger & LJ for helping me get the weight classes & other arena badges. I'd never get them otherwise

Thanks Arwen for putting this together! I hope everyone got the Swiss badge who wanted it. What a mess that system is. I never did find an explanation on the forums or on paragonwiki that matched the randomness that seemed to be happening.

Also, thanks to Maribelle for organizing the side weight class matches. I ended up getting all the pvp badges done!

Finally, the pentad badges seem to work more easily than I expected. You don't even have to fill the teams. While you can only have 1 of any particular AT, you don't have to fill the other spots, and you can start a match with a 5 on 1.

I will show up for more of these things to help others get these badges! Also, for casual pvp matches. I believe that Magumi got a pvp recipe, did anyone else?

Bah! I forgot this was going on. Just as well though, I wouldn't have been able to stay all seven hours and I was distracted all night helping my son with his homework.

Thanks for setting this up Arwen. Wish I could have stayed to get the Swiss badge but maybe next time it will work right and be much easier for us all to get what we need out of it.

Thanks again to Arwen for putting this together and to everyone who showed up to help out. The event was very frustrating in some ways but still fun.

I just hated that I couldn't stay until everyone had the badge. Pesky job...

Are there plans to do this again soon? Now I need all the PVP badges on my main villain
