Best Secondary for Stone/
I guess it really depends. A lot of people I know take SS because of Rage to help with Granite's -Dam. But tbh a lot of the secondaries are good. I chose SM because of Tremor and Fault but My Stone/Ice tank is great at getting and holding aggro, though the damage output is almost nonexistent but then again it's a team tank not a solo. If it's your first Stone tank I'd go for SS as it's a nice allrounder.
I have a stone/fire which is awesome. I have Tough and Weave on it to tank outside of Granite on small/medium teams and it works very well. You can negate the -Runspeed and -Recharge with IO's. The -Damage is a bit tougher, so I went with fire.
You dont need the purples in the build, it can be adjusted for other sets easily. It will be a bit pricey though.

Thanks guys, now I have another question..
I'm more of an old school person when it comes to stone armor, so anyone got a build with teleport as the travel power?
I think I can fit in the concept of fire into stone armor, so I'm torn between that and the old fashion crowd control - Stone melee. Yes, teaming tank.
Prefer to use granite as an "Oh crap wth?" button. So, see what you can do. I'm no good when it comes to slotting sets and what not either. I know how to build power wise, just not set wise.

I would put Crystal Armor later, Taunt sooner and fit in Brimstone Armor. OP likes the look of new armor, so I would put Brimstone in to complete the set.
I never did bother with Tough/Weave and haven't missed it. I only use Granite as a panic button and get on fine.
Also I took TP Foe in place of Recall Friend. I hardly ever get to a mission first, but TP foe allows me to pick the enemy off one at a time.

Furthermore I wouldn't skip Incinerate, one of your two big hitters and surprisingly endurance-efficient, to take Char or Fireblast.

That's a legitimate choice. I am having trouble wrapping my head around a Granite Tanker feeling any need at all "to pick the enemy off one at a time," however. Isn't the purpose of Granite to wade right into the biggest seething mass of death-dealing evil you can find? |
I prefer using the rest of the set, and if you like the new lava and crystal armor skins, then Granite is going to be the least used armor.

So, I've been wanting to make a stone armor for a long time.. With the new FX on the armors coming with i16, I've been wanting to make one even more.
I want to know what is the best secondary for stone?
If I'm going to live outside granite armor:
-Is stone melee worth taking with stone armor?
-Can the damage be good?
I'm open for advice at this point.
