Forum problem - Remember Me doesn't remember me

When signing in to the boards I check the "Remember Me" checkbox so that I don't have to keep signing in.

The problem is that it doesn't remember me for very long. Having investigated it looks like although the userid and password cookies have a life of about a year on them, the authRegion cookie that remembers the EU/NA choice has a lifespan of about 18 hours.

When this cookie expires, the boards "forget" you and you have to log in again.

I guess this is a customisation of the boards for our particular scenario, but can someone fix it so the cookie has a longer lifespan?

I noticed that after you log off, there is a message saying that the cookies have been deleted. It happens every time.
