Some base building questions.

Hi, i have a few questions about base contruction...

1. On my old computer, i was able to use left click on my mouse to rotate the view while base editing, now with my new computer (and mouse) it no longer allows me to rotate the veiw. this has been a pain since i cant easily place and stack items now. is there a way i can change/fix this?

2. This is just something i noticed while watching some how to videos on base building, not really a problem but, i noticed that when an item was selected, in the item's description/info window (top right of screen) the item spun so you could see what the item looked like from all views. on my computer, when i select an item, it does not rotate in this window, it just stays still. is there an option to changes this so items will rotate?

thanks!

Left click? or Right click?... I was using my right click button to rotate the camera view just last night. Have you checked your keymapping options in the game? (menu -> options -> keymapping tab) Maybe the rotate camera keymapping needs re-setting.

Hmmmmm.... I think my description window is still spinning the image, though I have had it "hang" when the editor seems to get "tired & jumpy". I seem to recall there being a mention of a memory leak when in edit mode, maybe that's a factor. I don't know of any editor options for adjusting the windows.

Hasn't worked for me since I went to Win7 (with the same hardware I was using for WinXP). I'm not sure why. Hold PageUp and rotate with your mouse - it's the best work-around.

Sounds like your key binding was reset when you upgraded to the new PC.Same thing happened to me when I replaced my old PC.

Go to your [menu-options-keymapping-on demand mouse look] reset to the proper key you would like to use [right mouse button] Also, make sure you use the "apply now" option at the bottom of the window.

I personally use my middle mouse button, that way I can still use the right mouse button for rotating objects.
