Could someone link me to a Plant/kin Splatroller guide or give me some tips on how to make the most from my new Troller. he is currently at lvl 37 and i'd like to respec and get him into shape for i16. I am broke currently(well on this character anyways) and if someone could post a build using generic IO's would be awesome.

Thanks in advance.

I'd even accept one of those smart alecky replys that say please use the search function, Blah,Blah,Blah lol. As long as its accompanied with a link to a post of sorts related to the topic.

Here's the current build on my Plant/Kin. Not generics, but nothing is particularly pricy, other than the one purple set in SoC. Confuse set IOs are dirt cheap, so very easy to frankenslot for max acc, recharge and confuse.

Just a quibble, but FYI to the OP - you won't be able to slot those peroxisomes in Strangler until lvl 47. Nice to see HOs in a build.

I like to slot most of my single target holds (which do damage) with 1 Nucl (Acc/Dam), 2 Perox (Dam/Mez), 1 Acc/Mez, and two common Recharge IOs. No set bonuses, but I get good accuracy, capped Hold AND Damage, and great Recharge. There are some places where HOs fill the gap better than IOs.

LOCAL MAN! The most famous hero of all. There are more newspaper stories about me than anyone else. "Local Man wins Medal of Honor." "Local Man opens Animal Shelter." "Local Man Charged with..." (Um, forget about that one.)

I'd agree with that in most instances but if I have an end hog build (plant/kin isn't one due to transference obviously) I like 4 GW embraces for the 2.25 end bonus and then fill in with some frankenslotting/HOs for the last two.

Thanks for the info guys. You know i was wondering after i got inertial reduction if i even needed Superspeed as a travel power, now that i see that the Big boys don't need one of the power pool travel powers it opens the door to another power. Not taking leadership and taking Spore burst is interesting. i ll try this builld tonight (at lvl 38 now). I sure do love my Fly trap he is the man.

Ps. My 50 Earth/kin has flight and SS. hmm No power pool travel power what a crazy concept i can't believe i didnt try this before.

Hmmm. The proposed build is pretty good.

I think I would do two things differently.

I wouldn't take Increase Density, Inertial Reduction, or Sporeburst. I'd take combat Jumping, Super Jump, and Acrobatics instead. Also I would go Stone App. Fissure + Fulcrum Shift + Speed Boost + Hasten = Win. That doesn't even include Seismic Smash which = double win.

Other than that, I like 6 Lockdown in both holds. If you work it right, you will never be in melee with anything that isn't held, but can still be close enough to get your /Kin abilities and Fissure to work, so Ranged Defense is what I look for.

Just my 2 cents.

BTW, build is not proposed - that's the actual build I leveled to 50 with. Reslotted some of the powers, but don't think I ever respeced.
- Sporeburst was a throwaway. There was nothing else I wanted available at that level. I do use it occassionally as an "oh crap" power.
- I see no need for Acrobatics - Steadfast -kb is plenty. And IR > SJ (no supression).
- Fissure is a fine power but I think Energy Torrent is better. In any case, main reason I went Primal was for Power Boost.
- With SoC I rarely worry about going into melee.
