Rad/Rad Defender?
awesome toon !
I dont have my build here at work but i think someone posted a build for rad/rad last week, try to find that thread
I loved it in teams but hated it solo... the anchors cost a lot of end , it was hard ^^
But I think it might be a good soloer at high levels if you spend some money in good sets.
I'm poor, only got standard IOs
These are the powers I took for my "PuG" build. I have two distinct builds: one where I do my best to keep everyone alive, and one where I know I cannot, the "PuG" build.

A lot of selections are rather optional in order. The fallout/vengeance combo is very effective with enough appropriate targets. Superspeed can be delayed if you have enough travel packs to get you through, but it does have a nice stealth component.
Now if only there were a way to disable those nasty self-rezzes teammates like to use.
Triumphant Defenders Forever
Psylenz FF/Psi, ArticQuark Storm/Rad, Symon BarSisyphus Bots/psn, Max VanSydow Thugs/Dk, Cyclone Symon Bots/stm, Blue Loki Ice/Cd, Widow 46526
HelinCarnate:OMG it is so terrible. I have the option to take 3 more powers but no additional slots. Boo F'ing hoo.
This is a more traditional defendery type of build. I took hover just because of zone lag while tp'ing. Combat tp followed by EM Pulse and the choking cloud effects is very effective. This build was lucky enough for a TP: stealth proc and the Numina's recovery/regeneration proc to fall in his lap.
Key enhancing elements are getting Accelerated Metabolism, Hasten, and EM Pulse on a short recharge. Max out the ToHit debuff in Radiation Infection, and feed you Enervating Field and Choking Cloud plenty of endurance reduction.
Neutrino bolt will never one-shot Infernal, but it can be used as a proc mule since it fires so fast. There are a few procs that can work their way into Choking Cloud as well. Achilles heel procs should be grabbed as influence allows.
Without the veteran staff and cosmic burst, this build can solo, but slowly. It's a death of a thousand cuts. It's also AoE oriented, so you 'thousand cut' a number of foes at the same time. On a team, it's full of win. Debuff and destroy.

I started this thread a week or so ago which you might find useful (especially after the first couple posts).
There's a lot of ways to play a Rad/Rad, but the basics you need to know are simple: the three toggles (Radiation infection, Enervating FIeld, Choking Cloud) and Lingering Radiation are your life's blood and total defense. If you can get your enemies in an area to be effected by all four, they might as well be inanimate objects that just sit there ineffectually while you beat on them.
The rest of the Radiation Emission set is down to personal taste, although you probably want your heal (for yourself when you need it if nothing else), and Accelerate Metabolism is an absolute gem of a power which I would never be without.
Rad Blast has a lot of skippable powers, but the combination of Irradiate/Neutron Bomb really shines in the AoE-centric area that the Rad Emission powers tend to be best at.
I would include EM Pulse as a must have power. The hold stacks with choking cloud. It doesn't crash your end like a nuke does, but it does slow your recovery, which is why I picked up Conserve Power in the build I posted.

My latest 50 fender is a rad/rad and i'm lovin it got pvE groups.
Has a lot of great AOE attacks, which, just as others have said in this thread, can be used to saturate mobs with debuffs till they all start to drop like flies.
My first defender is an emp/archer who insanely hard to solo. The rad/rad is much easier to solo, but it still takes a while to knock out a big mob at once (3 auras, and wave after wave of aoe attacks). If you can team up with a toon that has good aoe dmg, mobs melt in a matter of seconds. When I pair with a fire/kin, we could pretty much run an 8-spawn tf by ourselves.
The best part about playing a rad/rad is going up against AVs and EBs. They go down much much faster with you on the team. I live for that last mish in LGTFs.
Triumph Lurker: mintmiki 50 emp/archer
basically, if you see a miki on Triumph, it's probably cute and it's probably me.
Huge thanks to cuppamanga and all the folks in the mac help forum for prolonging my borrowed time on this game.
============
Fallout Fae 50 Rad/Rad Defender
Cosmic Static 50 Elec3 Blaster
Reparative 50 EM/EA Stalker
Poseur 50 Mind/Psi Dom
I just started one and although I am a noob they seem pretty solo friendly and was wondering are they good at higher levels and how are they in groups? Thanks... Oh and if anyone can point me to a build I would appreciate it.
