I actually started a kin/arch build a couple days ago. I will be making mine a mostly solo build, but should work for teams, too. I haven't sat down and played around with IO sets much, so I can't comment on your slots... but I will comment on some power choices:
I will not be going with Medicine in my build, since transference is plenty of healing for my purposes, even if i'm on teams.
I would suggest not taking Siphon Power or respec'ing/2nd build out of it when you get fulcrum shift. Some will say it is good to have if you are facing a single AV or EB, with which I agree, assuming you will be doing this. I do not plan on facing many single target enemies so I am skipping the power.
Aim seems to be a skippable power, especially if you are on the defender side vs the blender side.
I do not see Power Build Up as that great of a choice for your build. Sure, it'll increase heals for a short bit... but with archery, you're dealing mainly lethal damage and there is no secondary effect. You may be taking this to get to a shield power, in which case, you could get a better power out of Dark or Psychic epics and then get pretty much the same shield.
Just my thoughts, take them or leave them. I'll try to remember to post my build on here when I have a chance to sit down to put it together.
Check out the build I put together below. This is a somewhat expensive build, but it gives great survivability if soloing. You end up with 66.8% S/L resist, 10.9% Melee def, 15.3% Ranged def, and 18.7% AoE def. You can find ways to squeeze out more def, but you lose other bonuses. One goal I had was to ensure perma-hasten on this build. With Siphon Speed, I can do that.

I'll go power by power here.
This is not what is right, wrong, or bad but just my views on your Power/IO selection. (Purely Opinion which is why I post for responses)
Level 1: Transfusion (5 slots)
I like 5 slot Touch of the Nictus. (I would leave out the damage proc)
That last Set Bonus just isn't worth it to me.
I enjoy the increased healing and defense the set provides. (Might be wrong)
Level 2: Aimed Shot / Snap Shot
Here I could go either way but in the end I really see only needed one of these powers and I am leaning towards Aimed Shot this ensures I don't have healing or transferance powers waiting while I'm blasting.
The interesting thing about a Kin is +damage is pretty much built in with FS and SP. (I'll get into SP later)
So taking the entropic is not that I have used it not a bad choice. The chance for build up is so short in duration that it is easy to miss, and FS makes it kinda pointless since you should be capped anyways at 300%.
Level 4: Fistful of Arrows
Pure delicious AOE Damage to add to Rain of Arrows.
I would get the full 6 Slots and Finish out positron or maybe add a lvl 50 IO. (I need to review the set bonuses)
Level 6: Siphon Speed (4 slots)
This is your personal haste.
Without Expensive sets and IO's I would 4 slot it.
2 Accuracy it has a nice recharge timmer and 2 Recharge lvl 50 Each.
Now after all sets are complete this might drop since the set bonus to accuracy might make the 2 IO's pointless. Until then you need this power to hit.
Level 8: Hasten (3 slots)
3 Recharge pretty standard
Powers have such a quick cool down that I could see not getting this till 30 since most of the major TF are 35ish. Some are lower but most of our powers are low time wise save Syphon Speed.
Level 10: Hover (2 slots)
First major disagreement.
I would not 3 slot for the full blessing set.
Main thing to me is the Set bonus to defense and thats at 2 parts.
If you want the KB take the KB protection,and the Run Speed, Jump, Flight Speed, Range/Endurance.
Level 12: Hurdle (No slots)
Preference vs Swift
Since you took fly powers I'd have gone with swift.
Level 14: Health (3 slots)
(I'm not sure on set bonuses will edit)
Miracle - +Recovery
Numina's Convalescence - +Regeneration/+Recovery
Regenerative Tissue - +Regeneration
Level 22: Stamina (2 or 3 slots)
50 IO Enduance Mod (Optional)

This is an interesting power because for certian classes it is a god send. It doesn't need accuracy cause it always hits. Does not need recharge cause it is so fast to recover on its own.
What it can use I plan to try is Performance Shifter.
+End Mod and chance for End Mod as one of the more commonly use powers nice way to buff your end back up after a fight, and for 2 slots 5% movement boost.
In theory at least.
For now I have End Mod IO's in it. Everyone likes End.
Level 26: Transference (6 slots)
Now this is kinda easy on the slotting with 3 perfomance shifters. I feel a full set of Efficacy Adaptor for the accuracy and recharge bouns is a better fit. When this hits I want it to fully restore someone from even 0 End making it nice to use after a nuke because I don't have AB great for PBAoE nukes.
Level 28: Fly
Same as Hover I really only 2 slot for the speed and defense boost from blessings. Super Speed takes care of the stealth issue. Though I am interested if the +stealth applies even when in combat from the Freebird set.
Level 30: Ranged Shot
Kinda preference here.. Not big on sniper damage with the penalty we already have as Defenders. I would take would take blazing first.

Explosive Arrow & Repel
The reason for these is kinda odd cause honestly they waste space.
But they provide me with 6 KB protection from the Knockback set bonus.
Why MEDICAL???!!!
Well I really wanted it on a toon and this one being a defender has one weakness a defender should not have I CANNOT REZ!
Medical gives me the rez ability and lets me boost my healing through set bonuses. 500+ Transfusion heals.
Siphon Power
Why Siphon Power? It affects an entire group its an AoE damage debuff for 25% That 25% damage gone, in addtion to FS. Its a damage buff for your team thats is centered around you NOT the mobs your fighting. The more important aspect. Some mobs you do not want to be near. Or lets face it sometimes the tank/scrapper simply cannot hold aggro properly and you do not want to die every mob. The bad side absolutely NO Sets work in it.
This was my Kin / Archery Defender
I went a different route for him since alot of the Kin stuff cannot be IO'd
Took the medical field and tried to maxize his healing with slotting.
It also gave a Rez and some single target heals which the Kin set is lacking.
Thoughts and comments please
KB sets at the end are purely for the protection, but they might work decent solo not for use in teams. (These are purely so I can use the set I'm aware the better use of slots could be made)
Ended up with some nice recharge time bonus and some heal bonus.
