Arcane Bases got the shaft in I13...
Have you tried using the deco lamps? The unlit ones of course. They stack nicely side to side with no gaps, they can also be used to increase height as you can stack on top of them, also with no gaps.
The floor rubble(takes a little practice)makes for nice flooring as you cannot see through them unlike the floor tile. Just be aware of glitching if you stack to many on top of each other.
I believe our children are our future and I reflect on the lessons and values we taught them.
I believe the world has many real Villains, what we need are more Heroes.
*May you all be a hero in someone's life.*
I think I tried them and they were too small, I'm gonna be doing this to every room, and even unfinished, the entrance room already has about 150+ items. Probably be 250-300 when I'm done.
Although I was just looking through the sewer base thread and the uneven stacking of the arcane blocks to make the base entrance will fit nicely with my concept. So I'm going to use the same blocks, I'm just going to stack them unevenly to make it look broken.
Anyone know if there are any actual broken blocks that are still somewhat brick looking and not a pile of rubble?
I'd suggest trying out the following:
From the "Arcane" Tab =
Square Stone Plint
Stone Floor Cross
Raised Corner
These barely 'flicker' at all when overlapped, unlike rubble that 'flickers' like crazy (in my experience). (IMO) They also look pretty nice when overlapped/placed around the edges of Arcane Inspiration bins - they match fairly well.
The "Book Podium" works pretty well to stack up vertically, rotating every other one 180 degrees - make a decent Pillar/Column, among other things... I've also used the Arcane "Small Arch" and "Wall Platform" with decent results.
Upon re-reading, (and looking at those links) I see what you mean about "legos". I wasn't thinking about "blocks" so much as structural supports, flooring, etc.
City of Heroes didn't fail, City of Heroes was killed. If a 747 dropped on your house, you'd say you were killed, not you failed to find a safer dwelling.

Yeah, there are about 5 or 6 desks that stack very nicely, and only the rustic one is even remotely arcane looking.
Some of them would work out okay if I changed the lighting, but I really kinda like the lighting and colors that I have.
Nice stacking work. I use floor lamps and stack them up then use a deco floor tile.
@Turbo_Starr
So, there are almost no stackable Arcane legos. Got half a dozen or more tech stackable legos, and they even stack perpendicular without gaps. NONE of the arcane legos that I've found can stack perpendicular without gaps, and they don't fit well either.
Longways, they fit perfectly from one edge of a grid square to the other, but side to side, they leave a half a block gap.
Still I've been working my butt off with the tools given, and here is the start of my base, the goal is a maze like base with small corridors, hidden rooms, etc...

There will be a wall, and the portal room will be enclosed, stairs leading down will conceal the room below.

I haven't started decorating yet, so it's a bit bare.

No stairs yet, but the downstairs room will be walled off, and I may or may not add stairs to the rez room, it's kind of a one-way room, but still.

I've added two lamps in here for light, but otherwise, the entire base was built for function and there is very little decoration... yet.
Unfinished wall/door from portal room

The wall will go all the way up top and enclose the portal room as well, with a small door and a set of stairs, using the same blocks probably.
