So what do you use?

I was wondering which missions people are using to farm for purples recipes? More specifically, non-AE missions and AE missions. If you don't feel like divulging this information on the forums, then a PM would be good too! I've always heard of the legend of the Ebil Marketeers, but I was hoping I could maybe join those ranks.

Well it is my understanding there is no way to get purples at all from AE, period. which is why supply has dwindled and the prices have risen rather high. The mission i use for purples is the "Save warrior clan villiage" from maria jenkins. the drop rate has been pretty decent actually, i've averaged 1 every 3 or 4 runs. But im sure an EBIL marketer will come along and say something smart sounding to prove me wrong.

Dev's Choice missions will drop purples.

My fave high level farming mish is the 'close mystic portals' BP map.
I run it with my fire/rad, and it's gonna be SO SWEET when I can max the spawns and not worry about those damn masks.

Patron Arcs on my Plant/Psi, RWZ arcs on my Fire/Elec Brute, Television arcs on my Stone Melee Brute.

I'll likely throw some Dev's Choice arcs into the rotation once the new team settings go live, some of those have nice mob placements and closed quarter maps.

Redside, people have been known to use the Liberate Television, Nemesis platform (Black Scorpion's 3rd arc), and Tavish Bell's demon ship map. Blueside people like Freaks, Demons, and Battle Maiden's minions. So with the new SK/mission rules in I16, here's what you do:

* Level something to 48
* Get the farm you want while you're still 48
* Level to 50 (or log a 50 into the mission)
* Farm the -2's for purples

I'm curious, what level set IOs do you get when you're fighting 48s? I've always farmed 50+ mobs, and I've always gotten level 50 recipes. Given the sometimes significant price drop on some recipes going from 50 to 49, plus the significant loss of Inf from defeats, I don't know that the drop in income is worth the trivial difference in difficulty. Sure you'll do 20% more damage versus 48 mobs, but does that means you'll defeat mobs say 20% faster?

Goodbye and thanks for all the fish.
I've moved on to Diablo 3, TopDoc-1304

fighting -1's you get level 49 recipes so -2s I'd assume give 48's
