I think Stone Armor's granite form is colorable, but the palette you choose from is limited to stone-ish colors.
Also, I think BaBs recently said they are working on Lava and Crystal themes for Stone Armor customization.

Uhh I think he was working on Earth Assault and Earth pets. I'm thinking Lava and Crystal golems.
I still doubt he's talking bout granite armor.
As for coloring, it's limited to earthy tones. No vibrant blues, reds or yellows.

BABs specifically said that Granite can't be customized. The reason is that it turns your model into that of an NPC, and you can't fiddle with those.
It's too bad, because I'd like for my stone tanker to stand out of the crowd during Rikti raids and whatnot, but it can't be done. At least, not yet.
Indeed Granite Armor does use an NPC, but in the Mission Architect, you can color that NPC no problem.
There's a lot of NPC's you can color in MA. I'm hoping maybe that opens the door for way more pet customizing.
Yeah, that's why I was hoping you could get custom Granite. The problem is that (and keep in mind this is speculation) the system that lets you customize powers doesn't let you customize alternate NPC outfits. Which is what we're wearing.

Create a new, colourable model, hell even clone the existing one and make it colourable, and then set a different path (or w/e they use) from the power, so it instead uses the new, colourable version?
I don't know if that'd be difficult or not, but I hope the Devs dont try and stick by the old 'Its too hard' excuses of the past. Given they have done the 'impossible' now =P
