Testing out an arc I've done, I have this problem:

The first mission involves investigating a Vanguard base where the agents have apparently gone mad. But as soon as you zone into the mission there are a half dozen agents RIGHT THERE. They begin attacking immediately and after testing it with several alts, only once have I survived the initial zone in.

I need to make it so the player isn't attacked immediately. Its not fair for the player nor is it fun. Sure the vanguard NPCs are tough, but the player needs at least to be able zone in, assess where to attack or summon pets/ buff/etc.

I've tried changing maps but the group of enemies always shows up there at the start. Its like being TP'd into a nest of foes. I'll probably work on it when I get back from work. (sigh....got to go to the range today in 92+ heat, high humidity and all that....).

Advice is welcome. If not I may have to rewrite the initial mission a bit.

Do you have any patrol spawns set to the Front? That could be it.

Zone in w/ stealth/phase shift?

Change maps (diff maps have diff spawn locations)

Double check where patrols/ambushes are located

Thats about all I can think of.

Do you have any ambushes? Are they linked to the completion of an objective that is already completed when you enter? Like a captive that is marked as "Single"?

Another cause is a patrol that defeats the guards of a captive with an ambush or a defendable object (which has an automatic ambush).
