Pvp mm
Thugs/Pain, Thugs/Storm, Thugs/Poison, Nin/Poison, Necro/Poison, or */Therm in I16.
"One day we all may see each other elsewhere. In Tyria, in Azeroth. We may pass each other and never know it. And that's sad. But if nothing else, we'll still have Rhode Island."
I highly recommend waiting for Thermal. While rumors have spread that Thermal might be the next on the Nerf list, thermal shall be the strongest in pvp. An aura heal and a ST heal that don't decay on your pets, 2 shields for them, and the single most powerful debuff at this time. Plus you get a nifty -Res/-Def. It's ok, but Heat Exhaustion comes first.
Traps isnt a bad secondary either.

I'd go with Pain or Poison on this one. Thermal when it comes out. Definitely take storm if you think you can handle it.
Anyone have advice for taking on an Ill/Therm?
I have a 50 necro/psn with most accolades and some IOs but couldn't really do much against an IO'ed Ill/Therm I ran into in RV. It was always a slow process but he would win out in the end. I have leviathan for KO blow but I am trying to figure out if Black Scorp would be a better idea.

You're gonna have to face facts that you can't just leave the pets in BG mode to protect you. IF you do, then the illusion controller WILL win out in the end, so I suggest making sure you are well prepared to focus primarily on the illusion controller him/herself with your pets. Don't be afraid to pick up any necessary endurance bonuses or unique recipies to help you with any problems you may have with your blue bar.
If you can outlast the illusion controller you will eventually win, unless they have hover or super speed. (Of course those final factors depend on if the controller is a runner).
illusion/therm? Hmmm, I'd suggest taking assault to combat the annoyance of the pets getting aggro'd by the illusion pets. I would probably look in to picking up Black Scorpion simply for power boost (and possibly the web grenade, although defense is gimp on MMs in PvP).

I tried to go out of BG to just have all pets focus on the troller but then I was dead meat if I got held even once, as a powerboosted troller hold gives plenty of time for him to kill me if I was out of BG, and I have over a thousand health. He could avoid some of the pet damage just by jumping around a lot. At least avoid enough of it to kill me.

Try this: Create a macro that orders your tier 3 and 2 pets to attack while leaving the tier 1's in BG mode. Maybe just your tier 3 attack, but that might not be enough damage.
|
Like, can you give me a macro that has just tier 2 and 3 pets attacking?
That's not a bad idea. How would I make that?

Specifically,
/macro Bots "petcompow assault attack$$petcompow prot attack"
All that should do is send the assault bot and the protector bots into attack my target. As long as the others were in bodyguard to begin with, this won't change it. Test it in PvE before hand.

Also:
Do you guys think that Leviathan or Black Scorp is the best complement to /Poison?
I have a Necro/Psn so I am wondering if the defense shield will actually be ok with all the -tohit debuffs from Necro pets.
Is powerboosted Envenom and Weaken that good or is having KO blow and resist shield better?
My Bot/Pain MM has knockout blow attack love it also knocks up targets. <KU = a few secs of free hits>

Trying to roll a 1vs1 pvp MM. Thinking about Thugs/pain, but not sure how well that would work. Might just wait untill thermal comes out and combine that with thugs or necro. Any advice? I would like to be effective. Mainly against Blasters and other MMs.
