Advice regarding a tri-form build needed
I appologize if this comes across as rude but this is the sort of post that I think makes WS players make poor build decisions.
In squid form with just 4 people in the mire not the 10 your looking at and just repeatedly spamming 1 of the aoe squid blasts and ignoring all other powers I would be looking at 92 points of damage per 2 seconds. You don't even want to know what the numbers change to if I use both aoe's up the mire to the same 10 as yours and add in a fulcrum shift. The words rip tear and shred used to describe orbiting death is misleading in the extream. I am sorry if this came across poorly, and I do appreciate your including numbers in your post that could be compaired. I truely do think using numbers in posts like this will help new and inexperienced Kheldians make informed choices in their build. |

Alright, then I'll just say in my opinion 12.75'ish damage per second I would have a hard time using the word respectable, much less the words used previously.
For the endurance used and damage per second I believe this to be a truely poor power to use for damage. I am honestly trying to find a power that does less damage per second.

Obsidian is right, the numbers shown by Redlynne were correct, but they aren't as good as Redlynne made them sound through the use of adjectives (I doubt there was anything underhand about what Redlynne wrote though).
He was just making the point (More for the benefit of a newbie than a vet) that they shouldn't over-estimate Orbiting Death and the overall benefit it will give to your damage output.

The thing with Orbiting Death I feel is it has to be worth its action time and not be causing a a great problem with end recovery if left on but hitting nothing. So I needed to see how many targets for good DPE, my position, time spent in the positions and how long those targets would be living anyway in order for it to be worth the cast time and power pick in relation to other AoEs.
I basically AoE the bleep out of things, I have all the AoEs but OD. If everything lived long enough and I spent enough time in the right position then I would get something out of it. I am probably an old dog though that won't get out any new tricks.

It makes for an absolutely awesome "rip, tear, shred" power when used on teams (especially with a tanker grabbing all the aggro).
