Member of Vanguard Badge Help Please?

So I read that in order to get this Member of Vanguard Badge and begin to earn merits in the Rikti War Zone that you need to complete the first mission Levanter gives you. I did that and didnt get the badge. So, I did the second - nothing, then the third, and I still have not recieved it and Im not getting merits either. Anyone have any ideas what Im apparently doing wrong?

When I began with her she told me a bunch of stuff and the first mission was to help thin out some rikti. Forget how many I had to kill, it wasnt many. After that she just offered me a new mission. That was to kill 20 or so of something else and the 3rd was to kill 50 nemesis. Still nothing.

Thanks for replying St_A.. I didnt follow the story line because it never asked me to. When I started out trying to get this one I spoke to Lav first and not Borea. I just went to see if Borea asked me to do something as well and she just offers me choices between 2 missions I can continue to do like Lav did. When I try to talk to the other members they all tell me they do not know enough about my abilities or something like that and that I should talk to Lav or Borea. Kind of stuck in this circle. I can continue to do their missions. For instance I get "Stop crey from scavaging the war zone" OR "Destroy Rikti equipment" as my current two options. Weird.

Hmmmmm, that is odd, 'coz,as i stated, it is a mish chain and they should just follow on from eachother. If you don't still have a part of the mish active I'd suggest filing a petition and seeing if a GM can advise you as to what the problem actually is.

If you have mission spaces open, you need to talk to Levantera first and agree to learn more about the Vanguard. She will then ask you to go see Borea as a mission. When you get to Borea she asks you to prove your worth by killing 10 Rikti: at this point you don't have to accept anything as it is automatically assigned as a mission. If that has been taken care of, returning to Borea and talking to her should have sent you to Serpent Drummer yet.

If you have any open missions from Borea, I suggest you finish them and then try talking to Levantera again.

The Vanguard Intro is usually pretty simple. Levantera tells you to talk to Borea, who tells you to hunt 10 Rikti, then tells you to talk to Serpent Drummer, who passes you on to Gaussian, Dark Watcher, and Lady Grey. Now one little glitch can appear to break the chain. If you get mapsevered right as you talk to Borea after the hunt, you won't see that you should talk to Serpent Drummer. Your mission may not even change. And if you click on her again successfully, she'll start offering her random missions.

Ignore Borea. She gives infinite random missions, no arcs. Check your missions and look for the one given by Levantera. Follow it till the end. It is a single multi-part mission.

You might also want to check your badge list and see if you have the badge already. It's possible to do Levantera's first arc and therefor earn the badge via Ouroboros.
