A way around having too many is the maximum number that a hero could select, so that at some point, it would only allow you to add more slots to powers........Now I am done.
Well, as things stand now, you can only select four pools, plus an epic/patron pool. I'm all for more choice, but suspect the noted suggestion might result in extremely borked builds (i.e. too many powers, too few slots).

Personally, I'd like to see some new pool powers, or additions to the existing pools, much like the recent addition of the 5th power selection in epic/patron pools. As it stands, the existing pool powers (epics/patrons excluded) haven't seen any material changes since this game went live in 2004.

Would this mean you could not select enhancement slots? Those are way more important than pool powers. As it stands, I like the idea of decision making, and having people who can have the same AT and powersetm, and still be different. This would end that.
IMO, the incentive for taking the last power in a pool should be that the power is worth taking. If it isn't, maybe it needs to be changed in some way. All of the travel pools suffer this IMO, but certainly the fitness pool doesn't need an added bonus for taking the extra power from it.
Has there been any thought to changing when these powers become available and have them start at level 7 instead. You may be asking why? Well, let me tell you. I had this thought(not all of them are good), that at even levels you select powers, at odd levels you can select pool powers. Now, this might not work, since you could almost select them all. But........what could be encouraged then is for all the powers in a pool to be selected and a bonus given for selecting them all.
What do people think? As I typed it, I liked this idea less, but wondering what other people think.
