FM/SD and DM/SD
There are numerous threads about this. I believe the general consensus is that DM/SD is better when using high recharge builds. FM/SD is better when using a lower recharge build. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.
Well DM/SD can do more DPS then FM/SD. Soul Drain and a capped AAO with running MG>smite>SL>Smite I can do 294DPS. Also with DM it as SL which is a heal fire doesn't have that. When soloing AV that heal helps a lot and speeds up my DPS because it is doing Damage too. When it comes to AV soloing DM/SD is the best and does it the fastest. Fm/SD with Aid Self kills your DPS or you can have high regen but you can get unlikely a lot more.
He pointed out some stuff I forgot to mention. I have a 50 DM/SD Brute and FM/SD Scrap. The heal is so nice. Also, with the tohit debuffs stacked, you can safely solo Positron and other AVs that reduce your defense. I tried to solo Posi with my FM and it just was not gonna happen but I've done it twice with my DM. Now I can't give a direct comparison since the DM/SD is a Brute, but he does feel a bit faster sometimes. It's close call for me, though.

Both toons are awesome, but personally I like my FM/SR more. Fire Sword Circle is awesome, and Confront (which I got at 49 because I needed a power that didn't need any more slots, it was that or the medicine rez) is suprisingly useful some times. Those little things (and a few more) just make it more enjoyable for me.
I have a lvl 50 softcapped DM/SD scrapper that is ridiculously powerful. I also have a lvl 50 FM/SR scrapper that I thought was stupid strong until I hit 50 on the DM/SD..
Now I have a lvl 40 FM/SD, and I was just wondering what can I expect dmg wise and dps wise on the FM/SD compared to the DM/SD @ lvl 50 with around 17% dmg bonus using the standard DM and FM attack chains.
From what it seems, my new fm/sd toon will have a better, more fluid attack chain, that will also be stronger than the DM one (unless I have 10 npcs in Soul Drain), And will prolly solo AV's faster (assume AaO is capped for both).
Thoughts, experiences please?
