Does summon seer provide a aoe type buff? Similar to toons with pets that use the + resistance or + defense io? Also I thought that Mind was mostly non-positional attacks, but when i go up against a high def type toon soome of my attacks, get deflected, blocked or dodged. Am I missing something? Thnx for the help.

Not sure if it does, but the Mind Link that the patron pet gets is different from what the Actual Widows get from the VEAT pool. So in that case looking at the power itself it only give perception and confuse resistance, so even if it were AoE you don't benefit much from it, you tohit and acc will be there same but you can see stealth enemies.

"It's amazing how well you can put up with endurance issues if you hide them under a large enough pile of bodies."

I don't believe that any of the Mind powers, aside from Telekinesis, are non-positional. I'd wager that they are ranged or AoE attacks.

Your experience may be in the difference between Positional defense (SR Scrappers) and Damage Type defense (Ice or Invuln Tankers). Mind is strong against Damage Type defenses, as relatively few power sets contain Psionic defense. However, against positional defense, your ranged attacks are as crappy as everyone else's. Would that explain what you are seeing?

As far as I know, all of Mind Control's powers are non-positional, instead registering as "Psionic". Telekinesis is a toggle, so has no "attack type" assigned to it.

I must be mis-understanding what "positional" means, because that makes no sense to me. What does positional/non-positional mean?

Well, according to the "Show Details" window in-game, Mind Control's powers register as "Psionic". As opposed to Char registering as "Fire, Ranged". So, for example, Dominate would check against Psionic Defense to see if it were hit. Char would check against either Fire or Ranged (depending on if the toon were positional or elemental defense). Most attacks have and elemental and positional component to it.

So, against a Super Reflexes character, Dominate would essentially pierce right through any amount of Positional defense (Ranged, Melee, AoE), since it doesn't check against that.

That's what made no sense to me, but I've never tried it. Wow...sucks for a SR scrapper.
