You realize that altho they share powersets the 2 ATs play very little alike.If you are used to heroside,a stalker is more akin to a blaster than a tank.
So you really have to take play styles into more consideration,do you want to more damage or more survivability?
I've got a couple of Stalkers but haven't played them past the mid teens yet, so I'm no help there.
As for a DB/WP Brute, mine was my first 50 villie, and I solo'd about 90% of that. Along with Fury, the Combo's are very important, and while I took every primary, there are very effective builds out there that use far less than than. The Brute has an inherent Taunt, it's not that effective, especially when teaming.
welli havea lvl 50 db/wp stalker, you do NOT get quickrecovery as a stalker,and end can bea bit of trouble,have not done a tank or brute

I have a concept and name for a magic origin Dual Blades/Willpower villain, but I'm not sure if I want to make her a Brute or a Stalker, so I'm turnning to my fellow players for your opinions on this powerset combo for these two ATs. Which do you feel is a better fit and why?

P.S. I have never played a stalker, and have only played brutes into the mid-teens. Also, I've never played a dual blades character.
