Zombies/Dark
Necro (not zombie :P) has place for every unique buff thingie available. The 2 pet IO's (10% resist, 5% def) and recharge intensive (10% resist, 5% def), combined with dark -dmg, -acc and extra resist this should give a very interesting build.
I would slot Lich with extra tohit debuff and fear, since it does spam dark powers alot. Graveknights you have to keep melee for their lovely dmg, although ranged they also spam dark powers alot.
From there, i would slot most powers to gain the most effect from it, so -acc from the dark, and dmg from the pets. (5 of 6 pets are melee based, your heal is much easier when also being melee).

Yep, Set bonus-wise MMs don't actually need very much themselves. The only things I can think of are Positional Defense, if you wanted to get the Presense Pool and go for a Tankermind build (but remember you've no Mez protection) or lots of Recovery so you could skip Stamina. There isn't much of a need for anything else on a MM really.
The Pet Uniques are the main thing to go for. The Soul Extraction is a good place for these, if you can get them. Along with Acc & Recharge so he's out more (I can occasionally get two of them out, which is fun).
Other than that I went with a Achilles Heel PROC in the Knights (for the sword attacks) and general Frankenslotting to get the pets Acc & Damage to nice levels (tier 1 & 2) and -ToHit & Fear (for the Lich).
Oh and -ToHit/Recharge for the Dark Servant to get him perma and maxing out his -ToHit, it's his best feature and he's the same as the Defender & Corrupter versions so he does tonnes of it. An Accuracy and then if you've slots left a Heal or Two.
Thanks for the speedy replies
That is roughly what I thought, the build I have at the moment is full of procs including all the pet def/res ones so they should be pretty safe and then I have just tried to get the best numbers out of whatever is left.
Since I am not planning on the tankerminding route I think I will stick with what I have.
And as a plus it looks like it should be a fairly cheap build, as long as I can break my habit of adding an extra 0 onto my bids!

Also my bots/ff can easily (And slowly. Very slowly) solo AV's and full spawns so will zombies/dark eventually bring similar power?

I am sure you have figured out that zombie/dark plays very differently to bots/ff. You have to get all your pets (cept maybe the Lich) right on top of the AV and keep them there as the most damage is done at melee range. This also means you have to be there too so that you can heal and cut the AV's regen. This makes zombie/dark very painful against most AVs, one AE that actually hits and most of your pets (and you) take a big painful whack.
I find it one of the harder MMs to use against AVs solo.
@Boerewors
Never even tried to solo an AV with one but was quite happy taking most EBs. Even the ones with silly Tier 9 God Modes (like Posi and Valkerie). 'Lesser' EBs die very quickly.
Fluffy is very useful as your "blanket healer", always try and get him in close to the ruckus as well, his heal is better than yours plus he's got a lot of -Damage (Darkest Night & Twilight Grasp) to stack with yours as well as all the -ToHit both he, you and your other pets bring.
I find TPing Fluffy into tough spawns is pretty useful.
I noticed the power of fluffy last night on my scrapper going through the high level carnie arc, even surrounded by ring mistresses and illusionists the summoned fluffies because my first targets.
I took TP as a travel power on my build (Just to be different) so that has the nice side effect of being able to put him where I want him.

Having had a Ninja/Poison (worst synergy ever) that could hardly solo the Dr.Quaterfield EB!, I find Necro/Dark to be an absolute dream against EBs/AVs. Once DN, Fluffy's DN, and all the -tohit buffs kick in, it just gets easier and easier.
Made a custom arc for some friends, in which contained a DM/DA scrapper AV. Managed to spam enough -tohit to stop Dark Regeneration causing me to writhe in frustration
Did you build up you own defence on that build or just rely on the -tohit? I would have thought an AV would resist it quite a lot.

Running Maneuvers, Shadow Fall, and all 4 Pet IO procs in Soul Extraction helps not just the player, but also the Zombies. A few set bonuses here and there too.
Was thinking of taking the taunt from the Presence pool, to capitalise on +def set bonuses and maybe focusing on them more, but to be honest the main thing that puts me off Tankermind is the lack of mez resistance.

They don't resist -Damage though, at least not by nearly as much. Between yourself and Fluffy you should have 50-60% -damage going with 2 darkest nights and 2 Twilight Grasps (less Level modifiers). Plus you'll still be doing some -ToHit (10-15% maybe after the 85% resistance they have) and -Regen.
I have looked both here and in the US forums, and unless my search-fu is failing me there seems to be very little in the way of information about this particular combo.
I have read all the dark guides for defenders etc so more or less understand the secondary, but what I can't seem to figure out is what I should aim for set bonus wise when I hit 50, and just how powerful a build it can be.
Should I just try and slot it so that each power is as good as it can be, or is there some kind of bonus worth aiming for?
