Maestro is no longer accepted paymenet, I'm afraid.
Not sure about getting the serial code though. I'd raise a support ticket with the tech team, as they're arguably the ones who can best help you
Thank's Xemulas, he has sent a ticket to support so here's hoping it's sorted out soon.
It's a bit off though that when you go onto the store it will still accept your payment with one of these card's and even send you a reciept of payment but wont let you apply to the account, need's sorting, very unprofessional!!
Maestro is not accepted for recurring payments, ie you can't pay your subs with it. I don't think they stopped anyone from using it at the store. (Though they should have a note about not using it for subs when you buy something with it maybe.)

Maestro is definately useable as I renewed yesterday with mine.. they even finally (6 months late) got around to realising that cards could have been issued in 2009... (and updating the site accordingly)
I just recently gave a friend a trial code to get started on heroe's, he has since decided to upgrade to a full account, he went to plaync shop and purchased a full game serial code using a maestro card, it is showing on his account as unused but when he attempt's to use it he is sent back to the payment screen and wont aply to his account.
So the question is what is he doing wrong ?
help please cos he's starting to annoy me lol
