Advice on robos/ff build

Hi, i'm trying out what is really my 1st serious MM, and was wondering if i could get help on this basic build i formed in mids. At lvl 50 i'm kind of aiming for an uber MM. I want to be ambitious with the build.

I think i'd like it to include hasten and health and stamina, but other than that if anyone feels i should take a certain power, or get rid of one, or if my slotting sucks feel free to criticise.

I'd like, where possible advice on sets to use. I want to have defence, something i've never really focused on in a build, and to deal tons of damage so i can solo AVs those are my goals.

With that in mind, i present to you my preliminary build. Feel free to contribute or if you find the time, help me improve it in mids. Thanks in advance

Shouldnt your protector bots also be slotted with def, for their bubbles? (if i read the ToHitDeb correctly), afaik they only have the drone that does -tohit.

For the patron you can take that mace one, the shield also has def.

Thanks, i'll look at slotting def on the protectors and the mace patron. Although i can't say i'm experienced at slotting pets for def, or anything rather, i've never played an mm before xO

Are the powers i've taken OK? Is there anything i should have picked up that's a good idea to have as an MM, or anything i should have omitted?

I would try putting some slots in force bolt, afaik that knocks down pretty much everything. And mobs on their back.. dont do damage

The 2 bubbles, one u have 5 slotted, other no slots. I asume u done that for the set bonus?

And be sure to read the mastermind guide, specialy about teh bodyguard mode.

What concerns me is the level you've taken your Assault Bot at and when you've got the Upgrade power as well - both should always be taken at the level they are offered from (26 +32).

Repulsion Bomb as an damaging attack on a MM is exceptionally weak but it does allow for some IO set bonuses if nothing else - remember those bonuses are for you and not the bots.

The Protector Bots should have some amount of endurance reduction as they can run out of blue spamming shields/drones/attacks.

Assault and Tactics are always a good pickup for MM and will increase your pets damage and ability to hit tougher foes.

For Robots I quite like Scricco as patron as his AoE immob prevents knockback and foes stuck in the Assault Bots burn patches obviously = more damage overall. His shield is nice as well but its resistance, not defence based. The cone blast is woeful and the extra PbAoE melee move I'm not familar with yet on a MM (had it briefly for a Defender).

Well as for the levels they've been taken at, i'm planning this build as if i'm already lvl 50, and going to respec, that way i don't have to limit myself when planning what i'm taking and when; i can just slot anything i want how i want.

Thanks for the assault and tactics tip, is the damage boost they get significant?

Is there any specific sets i should be advised on considering in moves?

Mids says 11.3% boost to damage with Assault, its not earth shattering but it helps with the supremecy inherent of MasterMinds.

As for the sets I'd need to look at that later on or see if anyone else has a nice uber type build up their sleeve.

On my bots/ff I went the tough/weave route along with maneuvers to give me capped defenses, and I use taunt to play tankermind. I also grabbed aid self.

You can easily def cap the bots but the actual attack powers you get as a bots/ff are so useless I found it incredibly boring, so picked up taunt to make me feel useful.

My personal opinion regarding the build is to pick the pets and upgrades when they are available together with the 3 main shields and get them slotted up as well as you can using frankenslotting rather than looking for bonus'. Those powers are what keep you alive and cause the damage for you and are critical. Then once you have done that pick whatever powers you can in order to increase your defenses, there is no real need for attack powers.

I also took aid other and repair to keep the bots alive. I know a lot of people hate repair but it can save you having to get the assbot out again if he gets hit with a rogue AoE, and is much cheaper end wise than resummoning and upgrading him.

The alternate route I found was to just leave the bots too it. With the protector bots + your 3 shields they are pretty much def capped. Add into that the +Def IO's and they will be pretty safe. However like I said I found that incredibly boring
