Ice/SS - soft capped PvE build

After getting into my ice/SS tank again I decided to give him a good build. The current one is a bit PvP weighted and I still don't like PvP so I'm looking to roll it back to 100% PvE.

My first intention was to soft cap S/L/E/N (0.2% shy of E/N soft cap but I usually have in teams 10-20x Energy Absorption going) without the fighting pool and on top of that get some +rech, +regen and +HP. I think the build turned out quite good but I'm not sure on all of the slotting.

I picked Pyre Mastery to get Fire Ball (adds nicely to AoE) and Fire Blast to fill my attack chain. Ring of Fire might be useful if I ever get around to do a mission with Ghost Widow in it but currently it's just a set mule and stepping stone to Fire Blast and Fire Ball.

I'm impressed you managed to get to soft cap without Fighting pool while keeping powers effectiveness. Well done. I can't come up with any improvements here

I think that once you've got the accolades for +hp and established perma hoarfrost (especially with your slow resists) you can start aiming for bonuses other than +hp. You could cap yourself all the time with the accolades and perma + hp and think of slotting in other ways.

I actually built for +HP to allow me to save Hoarfrost as an "Oh sh**" button. I really like to be able to rely on a heal first and only after that Hibernate.

Also I'm quite happy with the current bonuses; they give me good regeneration, soft capped def and enough +rech to have Rage overlapping for 10 seconds or so to avoid crash and also a good attack chain.

Was just wondering if anyone spotted any wonky slotting somewhere or had ideas for a different build. Also I already have most of the expensive stuff of that build (Numina, LotG) so I'm not keen on changing them.

The power order is a bit diabolical. I wouldn't want to exemp to certain levels. Superspeed is at 32, Boxing is at 12 with Tough a whole 18 levels of waiting behind it. Why not Haste at 12 and Superspeed at 14? Then Boxing nearer Tough.

I can't see any real flaws in the build. As Shannon said the power order could use some tuning, though.

right kinda figured as much since i never really bothered sorting the build for exemp's ill get that sorted was mostly worried i'd missed something since i only tried doing positionals before

personaly looking at the char i tend to sit with the question what do you do about fire/psi/toxic(20% aint all that) oh and why is there no toxic defense stat i mean looking at it with my untrained eye it sorta looks like positional defense is more powerfull

By being covered by lethal, you cover yourself for fire/lethal and toxic/lethal. 20% isn't that bad cos Toxic damage is often the smaller portion I think. Being a bag of hitpoints helps versus all including Psi as at least someone maybe there to assist. Most people probably go for a high S/L build and a high Psi res/dam build. You can mix it even by including Invincible being buffed by number of enemies surrounding and work on main targets first.

Also keep in mind Chilling Embrace protects you from ALL kinds of damage as long as you have your opponents in melee range. The -DAM combined with -Rech offers some serious mitigation, not only does the opponent less damage per attack, but they also attack less often.

well im like 1 melee set (harder to find then to pay for...) from the build now and i must say its working wonders and yes dont worry i know what all my powers do before i get them :P

thx for all your advice though and especialy for looking at the build did some minor changes to it but mostly just moving bonuses around abit nothing vital though i think i found a few bigger bonuses here and there and removed the purple set (posi set now) which seems a tad to pricey for me to bother with unless i get lucky (yeah right) great build really especially loving the regen and the infinite end
