I am looking for a way to get incredible accuracy, I am an Archery Blaster and I am working out my build on mids.

can anyone tell me what % I would need in a power to pretty much guarantee a hit against the new Def system in PvP on SR stalkers, Widows and others of like?

Whats the best way of reaching uber high acc. ?

I like to know roughly how much accuracy you would need to overcome certain percentages e.g. if someone had 30% defence what kind of accuracy would you be needing to hit regularly. I know increasing to hit is the way to go but fairly limited in that department.

hi guys, something to bear in mind concerning your question is elusivty which has bin added to all defence based ATs which always adds in another chance for you to miss no matter how high you get your acc(think of it as another roll of the dice), also to-hit is what you need ,but DR pretty much stops you getting to high,sorry its not answering your questions,you can still get pretty good acc with IO boni

i have a 80% + accuarcy build for arch, it hits a lot but still against pros its crappy

I'd recommend reading through this guide by Arcanaville on the US forums. It contains the relevant ToHit, defense and accuracy formulas.

Exactly how Elusivity works seems to be a little unclear. I have looked a bit after some posts I've seen on the topic but I can't find them. If I recall correctly from those posts however, the final net to hit chance given by the formulae in the guide above is multiplied by (1-Elusivity). Most sets and powers that do have Elusivity have 30%. A list is available here. Numbers can also be found on Red Tomax' site.

Is there a cut off from DI which means you can't gain anything from accuracy?

I have made a new build which gained some extra accuracy set bonus's and its not made any difference in my combat logs (it still has the same chance to hit as last time).

Not sure on accuracy but To Hit seems to cap at +30%.

My archery blaster has base to hit of 90.73% to hit and build up only takes that to 103.18% while in pve the figures are 96.86%/153.83%.
While my base accuracy is unchanged in pvp/pve.

Hence super strength being so stupidly overpowered. Grab a few to hit bonuses and you are basically permanently at the to hit cap.

My understanding of acc/to hit isnt brilliant though. Maybe someone else can explain it more 'accurately' :P

I am a bit uncertain on the DR mechanics regarding accuracy. As far as I know, there are two different types of Accuracy for the purpose of ToHit checks:

1. The power accuracy. This is not enhanceable, but is a fixed feature of the power in question. KO blow for example has 1.2 power accuracy.
2. Player accuracy. This is the sum of the global accuracy (i.e. accuracy from set bonuses and powers like Focused Accuracy) AND the accuracy you have actively slotted into a power.

These two types are multiplied with eachother to yield the total Accuracy of an attack.

Whether DR applies to global accuracy only, or the sum of slotted accuracy and global accuracy, or (PowerAccuracy x (GlobalAccuracy + SlottedAccuracy)) I have no idea.
In case it is global accuracy only, it should be possible to see it directly in the Combat Attribute monitor as the contributions won't add upp to the total. If it is any of the latter two options I suspect you'd have to do some testing while looking at the final net ToHit chance in the combat log, and then do a bit of calculating.

Yeah will be testing soon. Currently against yourself, enhanced global accuracy from set bonuses had no affect so believe it is affected by DR. I will see if adding extra accuracy to the actual power has any affect but I get the feeling that it won't (hope I am wrong though).

I am curious as well now. It may change some slotting decisions for me if I am overslotted on accuracy as I would really want some more endurance reduction. I'll update my character on Test in order to check.

I will likely be on rather late tonight, after about 9 pm. We could do some testing then, if you have the time?

Well chucked in some extra accuracy and it did give me a higher chance to hit so it looks like diminishing returns is applied separately to set bonus's.
