I call letting your brother screw up your account your own fault.
Where did I say that someone hacking in is your own fault?

who said anything about hacking?
The original point was that this was a security feature.
You stated that it shouldn't be there, because if that happens it's your own fault.
My point is that if you are going to request removal of security features based on "it's your own fault", then I'm glad you don't work for an online bank.
Do you 100% of the time lock your pc when you go grab a coffee?
Most people don't.
This feature just means that if someone gets in front of your pc, they CANNOT delete you characters.
Unless of course you leave the screen on the character select

Narci did, the one I replied too.
And I stated that IF it was implemented because of the brother thing it should be deleted. Not if it was implemented for security reasons.
Although it's highly likely that the devs didn't even think of little brothers when implementing it.
And whether or not I do that 100% of the time is irrelevant, but if someone is abusing my account because I let it open it would be my fault not that of the devs.

Sighs,
I think you're missing my point.
This is a security feature to help prevent "own fault" problems like little brother timmy.
Removing it removes said additional layer of account security. If you disregard "fault" for a moment here and simply ask "does this feature make your account more secure at little or no extra inconvenience?".
The answer being yes means it should stay in.
I can see it's going to degenerate into "is this the right room for an argument?" soon, so I'll try and make this my last word on the subject

Agree to disagree then.
In many other mmo's you can log out to the character selection screen and surely they think that if you let Timmy screw your account is your own fault.
And I agree but that might be my experience from hearing stupid brother timmy excuses from people who posted pornographic pictures on a forum about a British actress.
Whether or not that their brother did it is not important in case such like that.
And I thought it was a security feature to prevent people from hacking your account or something from the outside...

Not sure it's down to "hacking in" more due to, you log back to character select and decide it's a good time to make a coffee, whilst you are downstairs little brother timmy pops along and deletes all your alts.
So /unsigned from me.

Which is entirely your own fault if you let that happen. I'm sorry but if Devs have implemented this system for cases like this it should be removed immediately.

Hang on ...
The devs should remove a security feature, because anyone who falls foul of, its "their own fault" ?
I'm glad you don't work for an online bank!
