Random Crashes/Lock ups
It sounds like it might be sound problem. Try playing with sound disabled. If it's stable then you've found the cause.
Have you updated your sound drivers recently? You might have got them in Windows Update.
Checked on Creative's website, and i am using the most up to date version of them.... will install the ones on the CD just to double check though
Well this is a 1sr for me... posting in the tech help area with a tech issue.
Recently ih ave been experiancing random crashes/locks ups when teaming with other players.
What happens is that CoX starts to slow down and get unresponsive, and then just totally locks up the PC. At the same time i start getting a high pitched sound through my speakers.
I end up having to reboot my PC, and then it *might* resolve itself. Sometimes I can be teamed up for several hours, or i can just last 10 minutes (or even 10 seconds) whilst teamed.
Ideas? Thoughts? Solutions?
