Came up with a team-scrankerish PvE hybrid build, quite heavy on the Purples and divided between damage dealing and crowd controlling. Left a weak spot against fire there and didn't bother with Hibernate to keep things interesting. Also, not a leveling build, and if you want to exemp down to somewhere below 30, keep a kin or a teleporter in the team.

Hehehehe... It would be stupid to start a new topic on ice/SS tanks so might as well do a slight threadjack here.
So, I'm planning on kitting out my ice/SS with IOs now that with I13 changes it'll be really nice for PvP. Thing is I also want to keep most of the PvE utility so I ended up with a hybrid build. Not expecting it to be the very best for PvP but looking at the numbers it should work well for PvE.
There are some oddball power choices such as Hurl but it has quite good damage in PvP. And it's a ranged attack. Sounds good to me...

Well I have most of the expensive stuff already. And inf is soooo easy to come by anyways it isnt the problem.

For PvE I would be trying not to go for +end rec cos you have Stamina + EA. I would try to avoid +acc because your SS with Rage. I would try to avoid +hp as your hasted hoarfrost and can get accolades instead but then with lack of resists I would be using it more for perma hp than using it for a heal. +Rechg bonuses are good but you may want to get them from other sources if you were to simply try to avoid bonuses that I think that you won't necessarily need. Rage would look better for me with Gaussians for additional def and it'll still be perma.

It's not hard it's just time consuming.
Personally I find getting inf more of a grind than leveling. The only alt that I'm really chucking inf at is my ill/Kin and I've revised his build down twice.
Originally it was all purps, since then I've changed it twice simply because I wasn't prepared to spend the time and effort required, the build is still expensive (4 LOTG +recharge) but it's not astronomical anymore.

Currently Levelling: Angelic Blade - BS/WP Scrapper | Seeds of Destruction - Plant/Kin Controller
It's not time consuming at all I find. 5-10 mins of ebil marketeering a day + regular playing can easily get me 50-100mil a week. And that's with 1-2 hours a day played total.
If I only do marketeering I might get somewhere between 30 to 70 mil.

By Marketering I assume you mean making recipes into Enhancements and selling them for a profit. If there's more to it than that maybe you should write a guide - I'd be keen to read it.

Some people are simply lazy, they'd bid 5 mill on a enhancement without checking to see the price of a recipe and its salvage. You could see enh going for 5 mill, buy the recipe for 300k and then buy the salvage for 100k and then make the enhancement and sell it for 5 mill. 5 mins work. Makes me fall asleep though not to mention the fact that WW is a gambling economy in a sense. Profit is often gained at the expense of someones naive-ness. I play the naive part when I go to WW very well cos I am lazy and just want to play. Some people sell recipes at WW for less than what they will get it at a contact for. People could buy for less then sell it at a contact.
Most of the time, my stuff gets made and put in SG base for other toons. Its slow per toon but at least I am not always getting cornered and some people with their sg mates do buy up all of a stock, at a low price and then sell high cornering the market.

That's because you have millions of buying/selling things on the market, and farm, or I simply assume so, because frankly whenever I play my 50 for 1-2 hours I don't get 30-60mil, marketing included.

True. But I started from 0 inf. Just like everyone else. Learn the ropes of the market and without actually playing a character you can easily get 100mil/week. WW in fact encourages offline earning.

Do your maths again. 1-2 hours a day, that's 7-14 hours a week. Take the top values, 100mil/14hours. I'm not getting 30mil/hour. If I do pure marketeering I might get close to that (5-10mins of marketeering a day, 50-70mil profits a week).

Just face it Sorrow, not everyone gains inf as fast as you and not everyone plays the same character 1-2 hours a week, I don't really, mainly because I suffer from altism, so don't think everyone is as high up in the inf ladder as you, get back down to reality.
I am right down to reality. I never said I play the same character 1-2 hours a day. I play my alts too, in fact I almost never play my lvl 50s.

Ok you said 1-2 hours a week. Whatever. You missed the point completely.
To make it simple: If you earn 500k inf/hour and play a character for 2 hours, you get 1mil.
If you play 2 characters for 1 hour each you also get 1mil.
It's not about playing the same character, it's about knowing how to make inf.

I have been hearing things that Ice/SS is currently the bomb both PvE and PvP.
So I decided to give it a try...
Now it would be nice if anyone could provide because any build I provide will probably just suck.
