Armour Set - Wind

Inspired by this post, I had a lookie at 'types of Wind' and have come up with the following rudimentary armour set:


[u]Wind Armour[u]

Anti-Cyclone
Toggle: Smash/Lethal Defence, Knockback Protection

Streamlined
Auto: Defence vs Ranged, AoE and Melee

O2 Boost
Self: Heal, +Max HP, Toxic Resist

Chinook Blessing
Toggle: Fire/Cold Resist, Energy/Neg Energy Defence

Turbulence (Taunt Aura)
Toggle: -ToHit, Knockup

Simoom
Click (Self): Protection against Fear, Disorient, Hold, Immobilise, Placate.

Zephyr Breeze
Auto: Regeneration Boost, Res Defence Debuff, Res Recharge Debuff

Aerodynamic
Auto: Movement Speed Increase, Recharge Rate Increase, Res Movement Slow

White Squall
Movement Speed Increase, Endurance Recovery Increase, +Def All (except Psionics). Self -Recovery.

So there you have it - that's my take on 'Wind Armour'.

Well i prefer it to the wind blast power set that's for sure but how on earth would you animate it?

I suppose you could use something like the old sonic shield animations but there were a good few reports of them causing pain to the user.

What kind of pain? Physical pain?

I like it. Its something a bit more unique, seems to be a bit different to other armour sets, the one crit is it seems to be low on actual protection, as in damage res/def. A possible fix could be adding small parts of that to other powers, or making the basic melee/range/AoE def shield quite meaty.

Would need some number-crunching, obviously, but its nice =] /signed

Animations are always tricky, I think on the whole they'd need to be more apparent when the shield is activated rather than when it is active, if that makes sense...

O2 Boost is a No Brainer, Simoom could perhaps have something akin to Steamy Mist/Shadow Fall for the start animation with little wisps of cloud floating around the body.
For Turbulence I imagined something like Sonic's -res aura.

Actually the 'cloud' effects could work. You know, the ones that come with Steamy Mist?
Just make it a general case that the start animation is a little different (perhaps the Snow Storm 'hands up' for Anti-Cyclone and the Elude anim. for White Squall?)

As for numbers and switching certain effects/bonmuses around - well, I'll leave that to people who know what they're talking about.
