position keeps resetting when i a new area loads

been getting this problem quite a few times. When I leave or enter somwhere and try to run somewhere else i keep appearing back where i started and can't properly go from A to B as I keep being sent back to A. i keep having to log out then log back in to be able to move about again. Could anyone help? Spent days searching google and cant find anything.

Think thats the old synch error
Means you are out of synch with the game,
you can use the /synch command whenever it happens, but it's not a permanent fix.

just type /synch in the chat

some use /sync, but /sync and /synch does the same

Have you tried typing the /sync command into chat first when it happens? That almost always does the trick.

After you've entered somewhere new, try typing:

/sync

then hitting enter in the chat box. It sounds like you're having mapserver synchronisation problems, and a while back the devs added the /sync command to force a reset on things.
