Target dead bodies

I started playing a WS and as u probably know it require targeting a defeated enemy some times. So i done some research on binds and slash commands and i think i got the command name right.

/bind (some key) target_custom_near defeated.

But it doesn't work like i expected. It doesn't target just the fallen guys but sometimes it targets my team mates or even a object. It is completely random. I even tried with the next command target_custom_next defeated, but it also doesn't work.

So i would like to ask if I am doing something wrong or this is a bug that can not be fixed

Just looked at slash commands from paragon wiki.
and found the command you're looking at and all the parameters
[ QUOTE ]
/target_custom_near params Targets nearest matching target using the same parameters as used by /target_custom_next.
/target_custom_next params Cycles through matching targets in near to far order using the following parameters. enemy Hostile enemies.
friend Friendlies (including pets).
defeated 0 HP targets.
alive Living targets.
mypet Include only your pets.
notmypet Exclude your pets.
base Include only passive base items.
notbase Exclude passive base items.
teammate Include only teammates.
notteammate Exclude teammates.
anything else Matches against name for specific targeting

[/ QUOTE ]

You could try changing
/bind (some key) target_custom_near defeated

to

/bind (some key) target_custom_near enemy defeated

That should hopefully only target your enemies, I haven't been in game for a while though so I haven't been able to test it. Hope this helps

I think the bind question's been answered already, but I'll add a couple of points.

If you're thinking about Unchain Essence then just mashing the power twice with nothing targeted will a) target the nearest body and then b) fire the power.

For Dark Extraction, then you're actually better off targeting a live enemy until they've been defeated and then immediately firing the extraction off on their body while you've still got it targeted, as Extraction can fail if you leave it too long between defeating the opponent and pulling what's left of their soul out to shoot things for you.

This is all in my personal experience, of course.

i will try that trick with unchain essence. I didn't know it always targets the nearest legal target.
And for the bind. I thought u can use only one parameter. Hope it works. Ty for your responses

Ok. I tried what Nibiru suggested and now it works like a charm. Tank you so much.
As for the changing of legal targets from a living foe to a dead one, it only works for the dark extraction. Taping unchain essence when i am targeting a living foe doesn't do anything. I know that u suggested with noting targeted but in a middle of a battle i would need another key just to clear my targeting and i never used that till now.

again tank you guys for your help

You need to have nothing targeted for the auto targeting to pick a body, but hit Escape, then Unchain Essence twice, and you should be in business.

But whatever works for you.

Sorry if I'm being a bit dense, but are you putting ""'s around the command? Nobody seems to have mentioned it. It should be:

/bind "key" "command stuff"

Necrobond - 50 BS/Inv Scrapper made in I1
Rickar - 50 Bots/FF Mastermind
Anti-Muon - 42 Warshade
Ivory Sicarius - 45 Crab Spider

Aber ja, natrlich Hans nass ist, er steht unter einem Wasserfall.
