Perhaps what triggered the necessity for the polygon smoothing in the first place was the impression that "nipples" had been included and the subsequent apparent breach of PEGI regs.

Interesting question indeed. I'd especially like to know some kind of "offical" reply on this question since I live in Germany where they are pretty hysterical about violence in games. And knowing this it's really a bit odd that both CoH and CoV are rated "12" here.

I played before the EU. They were "removed" because the polygons were smoothed out, not because someone suddenly realised nipples had been snuck in. As for your second point, you might want to go back and read what I'm actually saying, rather than continue to dither on about their existence. Nobody's denying they were there, they're denying the damn things were deliberate.
