Chat fragments?

Has anyone else been getting odd private tells that have only a few letters and no name to reply to?
For example I received a tell like:
[tell]: tein
and
[tell]: ing

i not had it personel maybe cos no one wants to talk to me....but i have heard of others getting this.....i guessing it got to do with you zoneing as your getting the tell...but as i said i don't know as i not had this happen

Had exactly the same issue, fragmanted tells with no sender name, I had last recieved a tell last night off ML, then got that fragmented one...unable to see the user who sent it I hit return to reply directly back...to be returned by a confused ML who hadnt sent the message and was also wondering why I was on hide...which upon checking my status I found I wasnt, then proceeded to ask the SG guys on our team if they were suffering similar issues, Rex Eros and Fulcrum had the same issue and also could see I was on hidden even though my screen showed me as fully unhidden .....yay for bug central

(p.s I think the fragmented tell issue is on the bug report iirc)

ive had tis happen a few times as well since issue13 went live. ive not had it happen only the time but atleast 3 or 4 times now and cant even reply to the person who sent the message so there is something going on in there not quite right

It only happens to some characters, and it "resets" per person when you zone.

The letters you see are the last few letters in the character's name who sent it. So if you know anyone online whose name ends in that, they're probably the one who sent it, so /tell them back to say whetever they sent once more.

If a person /tells you like that while you're in a mission, but you figure out who it is, it might reset that person when you zone out again, so you'll get one more blank tell from them.

Who gets "blanked" or not seems completely random, but I've not had it happen to globals yet.
