Pet Ability Checklist
I think that's currently a problem with the coding, and as such, would need a major pet rewrite (for the hurl issue, there would also need to be a general AI rewrite to get NPCs to cycle ranged and Melee attacks)
It's a tall order, but I wouldn't mind it myself.

[/ QUOTE ]What do you mean? This was already done. If you park a Bruiser next to, say, an AV, it'll cycle through melee attacks as well as Hurl at melee range. Same for Genin, Grave Knights, etc.
The issue is that the Bruiser (and other melee pets with ranged powers, such as Grave Knights) doesn't want to close to melee after opening a fight with Hurl, but will instead stand there like a doofus until Hurl recharges, and promptly chuck another rock at its target, rinse and repeat. Or, if he's feeling particularly silly, he'll do a little dance consisting of Hurl, move 10 feet from enemy, Hand Clap enemy away, Hurl, move 10 feet from enemy, Hand Clap, etc.
Oh well, at least GoTo works for that. Keeps MMs from becoming even more passive than they already can be.
A very simple fix to these issues, actually, would be to make Hurl and Hand Clap do knockDOWN instead of knockBACK. You'd still need to use GoTo, but once the Bruiser's in melee, it'll stay there.
I wonder how overpowered Bruisers would be with two PBAoE knockdown powers though.

From the I13 patch notes:
"Necromancy/Lich - Liches Torrent power should now only do Knockdown, unless slotted with Knockback Enhancements, or otherwise buffed."
So it would be only fair if bruisers got the same treatment, I think.
I do not suffer from altitis, I enjoy every character of it.
that being said, i think the AI for bruisers at least has reverted back to stone-age caveman in IQ, aswell as my Grave Knights on another MM, both have the IQ of a carrot, neither will run in willingly while they have ranged attacks, such as my grave knights like to think themselves as blasters unless something actually comes to them...
as for the ai rewrite, i can imagine it being a complete overhaul on the layout ubt it shouldnt be too difficult as its just a matter of really adding a few lines for a "check if its ticked on or off" statement, if off, ignore and move on

It's also a matter of coding up an entirely new UI to provide the checkboxes for you to tick. That would need to be dynamic, depending on upgrades, so it's not that trivial.
Not saying it's a good or bad idea, just that it's not 'a few lines of code.'

Mainly for masterminds i think, but i'd love the ability to choose which powers my pets have access to of the given one's, i got a thugs/poison MM and i use noxious gas on my bruiser, but with the 1st upgrade he KB's with handclap, with the 2nd upgrade he wastes a good 4 seconds or so using hurl on each fight, if i dont upgrade at all, he's stuck with jab and punch......
preferably, id love to drop hurl and hand clap from his list, but be able to put them back in for PvP say.
feedback and suggestions welcome, leave out the trolling...
