Fidgets in the chair."Man, I cant get comfy."
He focuses and teleports to the top of an empty bookcase, he crouches and looks over at Leah, "So, boss, any chance of filling me in, like I said, I wasn't told all that much. Just that it involves another dimension and you're the lead."
Looking around at the gathering crowd, stryke nodded to all the newcomers then looked back to Leah "hey miss, who we waitin for, lookin forward to gettin this show on the road"
Leaning back and folding his arms once more he smiled at the kid 'porting around "heh looks like im not the only one"

Blinks as a technician whispers in her ear, "Oh. Other man pulled out. Well. Anyway!" smiles warmly, "We're saving my home planet. And, well, is going to be tough and stuff. But we will, hopefully, win!" is as optimistic as ever and a Technician pipes up as she finshes, "Right, follow me to the aeroplane and we can begin breifing and head to Africa." Moves through the rooms to the helipad where a helicopter would take them to the airport.

Stretching lazily, Stryke awaited the group to depart, then walked over to where he had slung is large duffel bag, straightening his tie and creases from his suit, then running a hand through his shock-white hair.... he proceeded to follow the group to the awaiting transport, whistling some vague military tune out of key as he strode over to the awaiting technicians.

A little while later, when on the aeroplane, a technician coughs to gets everyones attention, a screen rolling down beside him. As you all very well know, we are proceeding on a dangerous mission to a foreign planet. As such, there will be instances where you will have to follow what we say to the letter. This planet is a small one, the major landmass being a Pangaea, a super continent, the largest settlement there was set up in the plains of the Pangaea as a trade point. But now the world has been turned into a factory. A rather large factory, the biggest structures are set in the middle of a forest at the foot of a Mountain range. The target building is approximately One Hundred and Fifty stories high. The screen displays a map of the city, showing all the mining sites et cetera. A tall spire standing out on the 3D replica. Zooming in to the top floor it scans into a large extravagant hall, decorated luxuriously. This room is where the target is anticipated to be. Your first task is to try negotiation. And if that fails force will be needed. The idea is to liberate this planet. Not Conquer. You will emerge higher up the chain of mountains and will be escorted, by our androids, to the city where you will possibly be forced to free each of the slaves from the Gaolers. They are around twenty foot tall and carry large weapons, designed for knocking people into submission or out cold. Soon after he finished his speech they were left to prepare for the battle ahead. Leah's brow furrowed as she thought everything over...

Sits back in his chair and sighs to himself."Why do I always get mixed up with 20 foot tall robots that could knock me about like a rag doll." he shifts in his chair a little "Don't they make ANYTHING wing friendly?"
He looks around at the gathered group of heroes. "Hey Stryke, I think we're gonna have out work cut out on this one. Leah, anything you can add to what we know. How long has it been since you were home?"
Taps her chin thinking, "Erm, well it's normally quite flat and stuff. Good weather. Not much to say really. But it's changed a lot as far as I knows."

Susan fidgits in her chair trying to get comfortable, and asks ''are there any lifeforms native to the planet that we should be wary off?''
"My peoples. Erm, I suppose the closest word is Sprites, Nymphs, Trees, Planets, The Planet. Everything that doesn't look out of place." smiles, furrowing her brow

Leaning back in his seat, Stryke looked around at the assorted members, then after listening to the exchange between Leah and the others he leant forwards.
"so It seems to me theres a whole lot we dont really know as yet, other than snippets, playin it by ear eh?"
He smiled a little.
"I like it, makes it more fun that way, in my experience plans never pan out the way you want 'em to best to adapt an improvise"
Looking around with a serious expression.
"one question though, wheres the in flight drinks?"
Laughing a little to himself he leant back and folded his arms behind his head and half closed his eyes.

Sighs 'Styryke after the drinks already...' he turns his head and laughs, "I wont be giving you no clear mind, get out a hangover yourself Stryke."
Looking to the Kid, Stryke grinned impishly.
"Been in worse states before Kid, besides ive a feelin that im gonna be needing more than just a few by the time this lil' adventure is done, in any case if im worse for the wear, just point me in the right direction, these boys wll do the rest"
Grinning he opened his hands palms up creating two small orbs of bright energy that danced and swirled with an incandescant glow.
"As you can see kid, ive got the means, you just keep me patched up out there and we should be fine"
Looking around at the assorted team members.
"Besides looks like we have quite a handy lil' crew set up here"

Looks around and nods, "We do seem to have seen our fair share of action, though to be honest I've only ever met you Stryke, I have idea what the rest of you guys can do."
He stands up and, shrugs "I think we should introduce ourselves, that way we all know what to expect. I'll start, I'm Healer Kid, one of the Nuclear 90 my gift allows me to heal people. Though because of my age I'm not allowed to enter Physical combat. My powers are....untested."
Smiles at the Kid, well you know what im capable of,"
He let the orbs on his hands glow a little longer, then seemingly snapping out of a reverie...looked around
"Me?..well the names stryke, ex US Airforce, formerly a guest of those lovely guys at arachnos for some supposed territorial breach...bah...as for my powers? well lets safe to say i was given them without my permission by that wonderful Dr Aeon"
Strykes eyes glowed a little more intense and his jaw clenched at the wording of that name...then just as quick his impish smile returned.
"anyway as I was sayin Kid - as for these guys, yeah may not know em, but you tend to get an idea by lookin at someone, the way they handle em'selves, the way they walk even, but in the long run, anyone willing to sign up to an unknown extradimensional planet hop without knowin what lies on the other side?....is either one tough cookie....or is rollin a few aces outta a deck o'cards"
He grinned cockily at that remark then flopped back lazily into his seat.
"And before you ask kid...im neither..but im one hellova curious kinda guy"

Leah's hand held an electrical ball, a shield appearing on her arm made from kinetic energy, and a depressing aura emenating which soon stops, "Energy manipulator. Mainly bubbles and electric though. Bit of dark emotion. And an axe." taps said weapon.

Susan says summoning her Singularity, "I can control small amounts of gravity and kinetic energy, I can heal if I have to but i'd rather leave that to the professionals, i also have some other tricks up my sleeves."
Beet sat rigid through the entire flight, he nodded after Susan, "I am Beet, I mostly supply ranged support and a variety of technical devices to manipulate or downright take down the enemy. If needed, I can set up an emergency teleportation system should we be met with overwhelming hostiles, there is also a regeneration device you can each have in advance, it will be able to heal any physical wounds but it's one use only." He pulled several small tazer like devices from his belt, looking at the group of heroes.

As the plane landed a man wearing an expensive looking suit greeted them, "Good afternoon. Your flight was satisfactory?" and he lead the way, without waiting for an answer, to the cool inside of thebuilding

As they step into the large main room with the blue glowing portal in it and technicians scurrying about Leah floated over to a technician eyeing the CCTVs on the planet through the portal "This heroes, is the portal you'll be using, very Stargate-1 style we know but it's the same as the ones back in Paragon, I assure you." pulling a remote from his pocket he clicks the button and a door to the side slides open, "Please, go rpepare yourselves anyway way you do."

Graeme looks over at the portal "Been a while since I set foot through a portal, cant say I enjoy the experience but I cant turn my back on other heroes."
He turns from the group and teleports to the rafters, he sits down and hangs his legs over the edge. He looks at his hands, "Hmm, I don't think a 5ft reptile will be a welcome sight in there..." he teleports again and forces his body to change back into his true child self. He puts on his coat and smiles before Opening a small back he brought with him.
"5 single use Break Free, 5 Dramatic Improvements and a whole lotta second wind." He stuffs the cool packs band aids and energy bars into his pockets.
He ports down to the scientist at the controls, "Excuse me, but just in case things go wrong in there, you DO have a way of pulling us out with the EMT don't you?
Red Commissar walked through the door dressed in his modern battle dress and then glanced and nodded at Beet.
"I am here Leah, I vill do vhat iz needed of me...".
