Freezes just on some toons

Possibly some graphical element causing the issue - does it still happen if you leave Striga with that character or change their costume?

Can't get out of Striga - Takes 7 mins to bring up the menu!
Sorted. Logged out (eventually) of offending toon. Logged on as another and, even though there was no problem with that I changed the graphics down a bar logged back on as the problem toon and teh problem went away - Any one know why?
About an hour ago I was in Striga when suddenly the game just froze.
I logged out (took a while - circa one frame every 10 secs) rebooted PC and verifed files. Logged back in with another toon - Fine.
Logged out, logged back in with original toon - Frozen solid again.
Logged out....
Did the whole sorry process again three times - Same result.
Runs fine in safe mode though......
Any ideas?
