Slightly n00bish question about ED
[ QUOTE ]
Hey, this sounds a bit noobish but I'm going for it anyway.
Let's say I put 3 damage IOs in a attack power. Then I put in a damage SO. Would the SO be considered useless because of the rules of ED?
Thanks.

Pretty much. I can't remember the exact figures off the top of my head, but it's such a small increase that you might as well not bother.

It would sort of depend; if you were slotting low level IOs (level 20s, say, giving +25.6% each) they'd only take you up to +75%-ish themselves, so an SO on top of that would make a significant contribution.
On the other hand 3 level 40 IOs (+38.6% each) would take you well into ED's top range, and the SO wouldn't add much at all.
Not sure it that was the underlying question, but for ED it's only the total bonus from all enhancements that matters - you can't get up to the top ED threshold with IOs, for example, then bypass it by adding an SO rather than more IOs.
Also if you intend exemping regularly remember the bonuses each enhancement gives will reduce - mainly affects those that build characters for zonal pvp in the lower level zones but will also apply for anyone exemping for any other reason
