I think there's a big risk of ruining immersion, here. The current in-jokes (It's all a Nemesis plot) fit in with the lore well, any new ones would need to be similarly in-character.

There used to be rather more references from some NPCs to in-game things which simply should not exist as far as the entities in the game are concerned. I remember Hellions making jokes about Inf. These seem to have been removed. I certainly haven't heard any since I've been back. I know I complained about them on the forums, but I really didn't expect anyone to take any notice of any player whinges about immersion destruction.
Some of this kind of thing can be dropped in anyway without causing problems. Some can't. It's a matter of someone tasteful picking the references that get used.
I doubt anything we suggest will scrape in. If, for example, I heard an NPC muttering something about heroes gathering at the Galaxy Girl statue every night and why weren't they out fighting crime, I would immediately go to the US forums to see which of their servers had a Galaxy Girl meet.

I already pointed that out in my first post.
I know in-game jokes have already been hinted, espicially in Loading Tips, but I'd certainly like to see some more. Like a mission introduction saying...
"The Hellions have clogged up our PPD forum with spam and troll posts! They posted them last weekend."
Graffiti on the wall saying:
"WHOS SPAG BOL?" or "MEH GLOBEY"
Any more suggestions?
